There could only be one reason to stay at this place: you have no other choice. Just like me, when planning out my road trip, I needed to stop over in the Nemuro area. There is not much on offer, so I convinced myself that I could stay for one night. It turned out to be by far the worst hotel during the whole trip, both in absolute terms (cleanliness, maintenance) and in terms of price/performance. Typically, you get a much bigger, clean room, with great amenities (often onsen in the hotel), AND breakfast included for about the same price. This does not make it a bad place for the owner, quite to the contrary. In real estate, if you do not invest, and have the shabbiest housing, you typically make a better return than any new, flashy own. So somebody is going to make a good deal out of this hotel. It is just not going to be you as the guest.

No staffs are available. If you like to be left undisturbed during your stay, this is a place for you. My room was a strange Western / Japanese mix. I don’t know who designed the room. It looks like someone tried to add a Japanese flavor to a Western-style room. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. I would not recommend the hotel.
