"When we arrived, we found our room full of dead bugs and filthy in other ways. The bathroom shower curtain had red mould, the glass door was filthy and the rug had some kind of stain. When we looked under the bed, rubbish had obviously been swept there to be hidden. We asked to be moved to a cleaner room, and this was accomodated, however, the new room was not much better. "Room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Shower was large with good pressure and although the towels were a good size they were a bit scratchy. The AC was a bit noisy (like sleeping with white noise) and did not maintain a consistent temperature. There was a light in the centre of the room which only turned on once in my week long stay. The location of the hotel is great- less than 5 mins to Rundle Mall and North Terrace, ideal if you are staying during the Illuminate festival"

"The staff were terrific, especially Charlie in the bar and Amanda on reception. The rooms were clean but replacement of amenities ie tea was a bit hit and miss. The breakfast was really terrific and the choice on offer was fabulous at the buffet. The seats in the bar were chesterfields and all of them were cracked and in need of replacement or recovering but Charlie more than made up for the battered seats with his excellent service I would absolutely stay there again"
