"I loved this hotel. Located within a canal house, the view from my window was beautiful. The room was small, but clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were amazing. Extremely helpful when my flight was canceled. Extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions, quarters in Amsterdam to visit and activities. The breakfast was very good. The hotel had a lovely lounge that was available to guests. The location was convenient for walking around the city. I would go back."

"Excellence Redefined Our short stay (three days) at the Tivoli Doelen ticked all the boxes. The location was excellent: central and easy to reach from Amsterdam Central Station, just one stop on the Metro. All the major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, including the museums and the Rembrandt House Museum, with scenic canal-side paths throughout the city. Cleanliness was exceptional, and the rooms were prepared and maintained to the highest standard. The rooms had clearly been refurbished and were beautifully and tastefully decorated. There was even a British three-pin plug socket in our room! The attention to detail was second to none. As previous reviews have mentioned, if your budget allows, I would recommend upgrading to a room overlooking the canal. It is well worth the extra cost. Breakfast was exceptional, with a superb selection of high-quality food, all prepared to an excellent standard. If possible, try to arrive early to secure a window seat, although all the tables offer a pleasant atmosphere, with the canals taking centre stage. If fine dining is your thing, I strongly recommend treating yourself to dinner in the restaurant one evening. The food is of the highest standard. Balance this with eating out around Amsterdam, where there is a huge variety of restaurants to choose from. Finally, what really makes the Tivoli stand out is its staff. From the front desk team and restaurant staff to the duty manager, everyone was outstanding."

The staff was polite and very helpful. The 35 steps to the lobby should be emphasized for seniors and the disabled."

"We were very impressed with the hotel and would return on another trip. The location is perfect. An easy walk from the Central train station and is in the centre of Amsterdam city area. Staff were excellent, the on site part is award winning, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. One note: If you have anything to speak with the hotel about before your stay, please contact them directly and not through Expedia. We were arriving early in the morning, so booked a room for the prior night. I discussed this via Expedia with the hotel, but we were initially marked as no-shows in error. The hotel front desk was able to correct this, but it slightly extended how long it took to check-in."

"Wonderful stay! Very helpful staff, especially Ms. Jose at the front desk, just very helpful and kind. The breakfast is amazing. Everything is so fresh and the coffee is the best one I had during my trip. I stayed at the small double room with river view. It was really enough for what we needed but there is no space on the sides of the bed to put a nightstand, just a narrow space to get up and walk, but it was not a big deal. The location is amazing, you can walk everywhere and if not you have the tram stopping 1 minute from the hotel. Also, you can't feel any street noise in the rooms, the soundproofing is excellent."
