Good hotel in city centre location

We were there 6 nights. The property is in a good location, great breakfast and front desk staff. That is why my rating was a 4. However, housekeeping was less than acceptable. We had only one day of proper, full housekeeping in our room the whole time. There was a missing light bulb the whole time, even though I left a note every day and told the front desk. We would leave by 10 each morning get back to the hotel between 8-9 at night to a room that hadn’t been made up. Then we would have to go to front desk get clean towels and other missing supplies. I sent an email to the Owner the first time this happened, and didn’t hear back. The second time the room was not made up, I sent an email to update him, no reply the whole time I was there. Thankfully the front desk staff were accommodating and helpful. When I checked out, I reiterated my displeasure with the ongoing housekeeping issues, and disappointment with not hearing back from the Owner and was told he was on vacation. I asked if someone was looking at his mail and was told the Manager was and I could speak with him. I was checking out, on a timeline for travel, so said no, at this point, I would expect him to respond to the Owners email, in his absence. A couple of hours later, I did hear back from the Manager via email, acknowledging the issue as a transition housekeeping problem that they were working on. I was given a credit that I was satisfied with.
