My honest opinion. I was happy to have a smokers room. But the smell was horrible. No screens on the window, at least it opened. I'd suggest an air freshener (industrial strength). The staff was great! Very helpful and friendly. You can tell the building is old, needs updates. The pool and jacuzzi were working, a plus..but it could use a coat of paint. It looked dirty, but felt like it was clean (I think). Main thing is....we enjoyed our stay.

If you want fancy, this is not for you. If you want a clean room at a reasonable rate, with a pool, hot tub, and a super friendly staff that's is central to Mt. Sterling, then book it now. Bonus? Breakfast with bacon & eggs for FREE! 2nd Bonus. The witty check-in girl.. who politely questioned my service dog's authenticity! They need to keep her at the front desk forever!

Pro-Night front desk was wonderful. Check in was a friendly experience. Cons- room was dirty and not well maintained. Bed was VERY uncomfortable. Owner was not helpful in any way during the stay.

This is our go to hotel when we visit Red River Gorge. And one of the only hotels with a pool in the red River gorge area!! This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and have been over pleased both times. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The heated indoor pool is the best feature here, the whole family loves it. The hot tub isn’t as hot as I would like it to be but still nice. The rooms have a mini fridge and microwave which is always nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
