Perform wild tricks on a world-class terrain park or cruise down scenic blue-graded runs at this Green Mountain ski resort in West Dover.

Mount Snow is a ski resort in the Green Mountain National Forest of southern Vermont. The resort is a popular choice for skiers and boarders for its proximity to metropolitan areas and its expansive terrain parks. Perfect your technique on a wide range of intermediate-graded runs or learn new tricks on the resort’s Carinthia terrain park.

Check out the Mount Snow main base village to rent equipment or shop for new gear. Choose from four different mountain areas: Main Face, North Face, Sunbrook and Carinthia. Main Face has an excellent ski school and learning area, which is ideal for beginners and those looking to build their confidence on the slopes. Black-diamond skiers can head to North Face experience some of Mount Snow’s most challenging terrain. Sunbrook’s long, scenic trails are perfect for cruising down blue-graded runs and admiring the picturesque Green Mountain surroundings. Enjoy a ride on Mount Snow’s bubble chair, which shields skiers from the wind and snow while providing a stunning mountain outlook.

Mount Snow’s Carinthia slope is the first all-park mountain face on the East Coast. This face has 12 terrain parks with more than 125 features, including rails, boxes, kickers, jumps, a half pipe and a superpipe. Carinthia has its own base lodge and has hosted several extreme and freestyle skiing and boarding events.

From main base village cafés to summit lodges and off-mountain bars, there are plenty of places to recharge or enjoy relaxing après-ski indulgences. You can also visit Mount Snow’s natural wellness spa, which offers massages, skin care, holistic spa treatments and a fitness area with a gym and pool.

Mount Snow is located in West Dover and is within easy reach of Albany, New York City, Boston, Providence and Montreal. Catch the Amtrak service to Brattleboro, Vermont, and connect with round-trip buses to Mount Snow. A free shuttle bus serves the Mount Snow Valley during the snow season.

In summer, Mount Snow is the perfect location to bring the family for a wilderness adventure. Take scenic chairlift rides, speed down the trails on a mountain bike or play a round on the Mount Snow Golf Course.

Avoid going on Founder's Day. The tickets are cheap that day, but it gets insanely crowded. I couldn't even get parking in the morning and had to go in the afternoon instead.
