Well, it's not good
Since they asked for a five star review multiple times, even explaining that a five star review is much different for a rental than it is for a hotel, I looked up the expectations for a five star rating. I am unable to do more than two. I won't comment on the rustic-ness of the place, with one exception, as that was advertised. The place was basically clean, with glaring exceptions--a skillet with used oil left in the oven, coffee grounds left in the machine, ice cube trays splashed with red liquid, buildup of dirt behind one of the doors, and a particularly nasty shower curtain. The rustic nature of the wood made for some concerning staining, I am not sure how they could possibly sanitize that kind of flooring. I forgot to get pictures of the footprint stains in my bedroom. Five star states having a well stocked kitchen. No spices..we had to open a can with a knife because there was no can opener..run across the lawn to the charcoal barbeque with a rolled up piece of cardboard we lit on the stove because there were no matches..no paper towels or kitchen linens, so we had to use a rolled up washcloth to remove things from the oven and a full sized bath towel to dry our dishes..There was no dining room table which would have been fine, there is a large bar at the kitchen but only two bar stools provided so the rest of us had to eat on the couch with plates in our laps.
