Like: the staff is amazing, price is very convenient, and rooms are acceptably comfortable Dislike: not enough towels upon arrival, unmaintained pool, breakfast is too expensive for what was provided (25 cad , cofee was cold options were few, it seemed like a diner built at last minute)

Nothing spectacular about our room or our stay. There was limited staff and often our room wouldn’t be cleaned until 6:00 PM and we would be waiting in the hallway. Location of hotel is a great though

Prior to our reservation friends of ours advised us to be sure to request a room that has been recently renovated. The hotel has been or is in the process of a significant renovation to their rooms. The lobby and front desk is very new. The hallways are very clean and well-maintained. The well-equipped fitness centre is on the lower floor and is very clean. Our room with a king size bed was really spacious and very clean. Bathroom was clean and supplied with all of the liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in refillable pump dispensers. No need to throw out unused plastic bottles. I wish the choice of TV channels was better than your Basic choice of channels. Very limited in English speaking channels. Our housekeeper for our stay in Room 230 was excellent. There is very limited restaurant service at the hotel. We ate off-site. My only significant pet-peeve is that the grounds (grass-cutting, weeds) were not maintained. The property on the side street is unkempt. Not good!

It has been a few years since I stayed at Ruby Foo’s but all changes have been positive. The room I was in was nicely refurbished, the staff are pleasant and helpful. I would definitely return especially if I was focused on the west end of Montreal

The hotel promotes itself as a boutique style establishment, but other than the fact that it used to be a Chinese restaurant, it is little more but window dressing for what is basically a motel 8. I stayed here because the conference I was attending was in their conference rooms and the catering for the event was subpar. The Wi-Fi was spotty in most parts of the venue, especially in the rooms. The rooms itself has one of those old style AC units that are very loud and sound like jet engines in the night . The pillows are exceptionally hard and uncomfortable to sleep on . The best thing that this hotel has for it is that it's about a block away from the Metro line which made it quite convenient to get to other parts of Montreal. It's also quite close to the airport. The area surrounding the hotel is mostly business parks and strip malls lacking any charm of what you'd expect from Montreal. I would not stay here ever again.

The restaurant is being renovated and the website did not indicate this. It is not even close to being ready. There are many restaurants within walking distance however and shopping nearby. Staff were very helpful when we had questions.

We were booked to stay for 5 days for a sporting event. When we arrived we were notified that the restaurant would be closed for the entire stay. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is dated and outside of hotel had lots of garbage around it. Lots of smoking smell in hallways and staircase. Was not what I expected given the reviews online. Would not stay there again.

I was born and raised in Montreal; I had my Sweet Sixteen there many decades earlier. I have been staying at the Ruby Foo's every time I come back to Montreal. It is quiet, safe and very close to the area I have activities with family and friends. Very convenient too, as it is right at the entrance to the Decarie Expressway so I don't have to drive far to get onto the highway to go back to Toronto. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful.

We booked a suite that turned out to be a dated and shabby conference room with a murphey bed. We arived an hour early and were told no suites were available but they would call my cell phone when one was ready. We cam back to the hotel at checkintime and were told it still wasnt ready. While sitting in the lobby I heard them check in another guest with a suite. When I stood and asked them about this they said they had a reservation. So did I! They called housekeeping and put us in theconference room. The neighbor hood is pretty sketchy.

The hall rug appeared dirty, and the room had an unpleasant odor - a mixture of pesto bismol and sweat, which was quite unpleasant. The bathroom also emitted an unpleasant smell.The beds were uncomfortable, and the air conditioning unit in the room made excessive noise while barely emitting any air. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its advertised breakfast and food options. However, upon arrival, I discovered that the breakfast area was closed. What was even more frustrating was the presence of signs throughout the hotel promoting their breakfast offerings for spring 2024 - which is the current season. This was misleading and disappointing. Overall, my experience was highly disappointing and not reflective of the standard I expected based on their advertising and reputation.

Great spot between downtown and the airport. Nothing really to do in the area but extra convenient next to all major highways.. Hotel itself has an unusual vibe ..giant shoji panels in the rooms give an interesting blackout effect.. I have only ever used it for an overnight..never stayed longer.

The pricing is for this hotel is good but my second night the hotel didn’t provide me any towels. I have to wait the staff to give them to me for 30 minutes
