"The house was super cute, everything was bright and very modern. The host definitely made us feel welcome with fresh cucumber water, smores basket, snacks & cold water in the fridge upon arrival. There was a stash of games and puzzles provided that we enjoyed playing at the table on the deck under the lighted gazebo at night. The pontoon boat was perfect. Easily accessible and we had a great time tubing and cruising the lake. The host was very attentive and easy to contact with any questions. I would definitely recommend the hobbit house for a stay on the lake!"

"Great stay. We brought more than just food but food would have been all we needed. The house had everything else we would have needed. Especially liked the Blackstone grill for making smashburgers. Liked how the main living area was all on 1st floor and all the bedrooms were on upper level. Would definitely stay here again if the area is in our vacation plans again."

"House was a great location if you are visiting Indiana Beach. Literally a 3 min drive right around the corner from the main entrance. Less than 10 mins away from groceries and fast food to south. Owner was pleasant, but communication was not great. Messages through VRBO took over an hour or over night to get a response. I tried calling the owner twice and the call was declined immediately both times. Owner called back 3-4 hours later only because I mentioned the dishwasher was full when I arrived. Seemed quick to end the call, never asked about my stay and assumed everything went well. Check in was simple. Check out was simple. Wifi was good. The water in the house STINKS, likely well water. An adult was taking a shower downstairs and I could smell the water in the upstairs bedroom. You could smell it all across the living room and kitchen too. Everytime you would use a sink or wash your hands it would stink. They had a water leak several days before our stay, but they did a good job of cleaning it up and making temporary repairs so we could stay. The damage didn't really affect our stay. The 4 boys (11-14yrs old) stayed comfortably in the room with 2 twin beds and a full size hide-a-bed. Plenty of TVs around the house."

"Overall the property was exactly what we were looking for to host our family vacation this year. Being right on the water and within walking distance to Indiana Beach (5 minutes) allowed our family to have a ton to do during our stay. The only two small critiques would be 1) the firepit area is quiet small and doesn't really allow for sitting next to it and 2) the decks could use a good power washing as they felt slightly dirty. Overall, the place was great and we would stay here again at this price point!"
