Very nice little motel. Has everything you need, very clean, staff is nice, very helpful. Across the street from Del Monte shopping plaza and mall work places to eat and shop, Whole Foods there too. Will definitely stay again

Much nicer (and often cheaper) than the discount motels on North Fremont. Your neighbors here are families, quiet and polite. A nice change from the mentally ill druggies that stay up on North Fremont. Surf Lodge is walking distance to downtown Monterey. Don't forget to visit Red's Donuts and the Paris Bakery Cafe in the morning.

Everything about this hotel was great the staff, air conditioning, heating, good bed and tv, a fully functional bathroom. All the pictures online looked good and in real life it was. I also think it was exceptional to see that they had solar renewable energy. I highly recommend this place.
