Good overnight stop in Modane

An overnight stop in Modane on a motorcycle tour. The hotel is one of a number of hotels spaced along the same street. Room was nice but, overlooking road at front of property, there was understandably some traffic noise with the window open. Bed a little soft for my taste. Shower and WC in room, not separated by screen or cubicle which is fine for a single occupancy but may be an issue for 2... The owner is a nice man; really helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast served in the attached restaurant was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Note that Hotesl.com specifies "Free Parking" but this isn't the case; all the parking bays outside the hotel have meters.

Chambre d'une époque ancienne. Douche début génération des cabines de douche. WC sani-broyeur dans la chambre juste séparé par un rideau et à côté du lavabo et cabine de douche. Sol non nettoyé.

UNINSPIRING AND POOR VALUE

This is hardly a hotel - more a very basic café with some rooms above, albeit these are in the process of modernisation. No access on arrival at 5pm - fortunately I was able to rouse somebody to open up when I found a telephone number. No lift - two steep flights of murky stone stairs - and no fire regulations. And by the time I had had an uninspiring supper and breakfast -that was nice - I had spent 85 euros - considerably more than in some nice hotels in other countries eg Germany and Hungary. I had expected better, but at least I had a bed and the water was hot!

Clean room to get a nights sleep

This was just a stop over night en route from Bordeaux to Florence. The inn keeper waited for us to arrive, and was helpful.

Nous avons été agréable accueillit par des gens serviable et sympathique. Les chambres sont simples mais pratiques, enfin la restauration sans être gastronomique propose des menus simple et excellent. nous vous recommandons le Burger savoyard.

L'accueil est bien je trouve simplement inadmissible des toilettes dans une chambre avec seulement un rideau comme séparation placard inutilisable tellement il sent le moisi en positif, la literie est bonne et il n'y a pas de bruit

Hotel correct pour une nuite, pas plus

Proprietaire sympa, la chambre est petite mais renové. Malheureusement le WC a un système de chasse d'eau motorisé et très très bruyant, et la porte de la sdb est coulissant e ne ferme pas vraiment. Il faudrait quelque portmanteau en plus dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner minimale. Pas d'ascenseur et escalier un peu sombre. Hotel correct pour une nuite avant de partir en train, mais pas plus.
