"If you want a great hotel that is not the "ordinary" and is part of an experience. I highly recommend this historic landmark. So many original fixtures are still a part of this beautiful hotel. The bar and restaurant are fantastic and the staff is very gracious and knowledgeable. I will stay here again."

"The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars is the toilet. It was like a kiddie toilet so very low to the ground. They need to realize that people are getting older and they need to install at least a 16 or 17 inch one. Other than that oh the internet was pretty bad but he did tell me they were working on it. But for the 2 days no one worked on it. The best part was the firm bed. We’ve been in hotels with 5 star ratings and they had the softest bed ever which made it hard to sleep. This bed was perfect!!! I would recommend staying at this place!!"

"We had a great stay at The Katy Rest Stop. The host provided all information (check-in process, check-in and check-out info, and procedures) in a friendly and timely manner. The host responded to questions promptly, too. The property was clean and well maintained. Since we have family in Sedalia, we’ll certainly consider using it again should the need arise."

"We loved how secluded it was from everything. The house was very clean and the deck was nice to set out on and grill. We cooled of in the creek with our chairs and it was the perfect height and flowing. They had everything that we needed to have a fire at the end of the night. They left us delicious cookies and was very quick to reply to any of our questions. Would definitely stay again!"
