「The Royal Picardie is a great option for staying on the Somme and it being walking distance into Albert. The facilities at The Royal Picardie are excellent, dining area and lounge area are both very spacious and the rooms are of a good standard. The staff are great and at the time of our stay a lady called Chloe done a fantastic job between reception and the lounge bar.」

「Very friendly staff and excellent location. Our room (room 20) looked directly onto the square with the Christmas markets. We were given prior advice about free parking around 10 minutes walk from the hotel.」

「Close to the train station and central with many restaurants and cafes nearby. Our room was a good size, comfortable and very quiet. Starting to show some wear. Everything was adequately clean except I felt the tiles in the bathroom shower were dirty, and the bathroom floor could have been cleaner. What was outstanding about this place was the lovely light haired woman who was so warm and friendly even though she did not speak much English. We were very grateful she accommodated a luggage issue...
