We love this property for its location. We love the ground floor condos. This particular condo could use some TLC: nothing that inhibited our stay, just time for it to be refreshed some.
Our experience checking in was not acceptable. We had been sent the room code/gate code about an hour before check-in time, so expected all to go smoothly. We were arriving late, around 11:30pm. When we arrived, the gate code did not work. We called the phone number provided for after-hours help, and we were forced to leave a voice mail, at midnight, to try to get the right code. We continued calling until an actual person answered. She argued with us that we had the right code and it should work. The problem, THE CODE DID NOT WORK. Much to her frustration, she begin to give us other codes to try, while still insisting that we had the right one. To her surprise, the third gate code option she gave us worked, and we were able to get in. All’s well that ends well; however, this shouldn’t have happened at all. RealJoy should look into their process in this matter.
Next time, I will call RealJoy ahead of time, talk to a real person, double and triple check things, rather than depend on an email/text message to give me correct information.
