Located on a quiet residential street in Uptown 1 block east of lake Bde Maka Ska (formerly known as Lake Calhoun) - great for a morning walk or run. Your stay is perfect for business or vacation. You'll find the neighborhood to be very walkable to the amenities in Uptown and an easy commute to Minneapolis.
The Space:
Our home resides in an amazing location within the confines of uptown proper. This attic apartment with walkout roof top deck is a very clean space with cork floors in the bedrooms & tile flooring in the living room off the deck. There is a full kitchen that has been recently updated. The apartment is a great place to relax & retreat if you need some peace and quiet after a busy day of travel, work or sightseeing.
3 Beautiful lakes to enjoy for those interested in the urban outdoor experience. Equally close are the many restaurants & shops Uptown is uniquely know for - all of which to be enjoyed while residing in a cozy apartment space in a quiet neighborhood.
Guest Access:
The third floor is a separate space which can be accessed by either the front or back stairwell. Additionally there is a private walkout deck on the third floor.
Parking is limited to street parking. We live in a residential section of uptown with family homes so access to parking typically is not a problem and often times guests are able to park right in front of our home.
The Neighborhood:
This is very vibrant & fun part of town. Uptown is generally the place where all of the locals in Minneapolis like to visit or live by. There are so many great small restaurants nearby & a neighborhood coffee shop just down the street that make this such a great neighborhood. The best part is you can walk everywhere!
Lake Bde Maka Ska, Lake Harriet & Lake of the Isles
These are the Lakes that make Minneapolis in particular Uptown great. Lake Bde Maka Ska is only one block away. All three lakes are in a row, so it is super easy to enjoy them with a walk, run or bike. Additionally, Lake Bde Maka Ska & Lake Harriet each offer a fantastic local eatery.
Getting Around:
2 blocks away from our house is a bus line as well as a bike rental facility. The heart of Uptown with its restaurants and many unique stores is within walking distance. Going to Downtown Minneapolis for activities or work is a short commute by bus or car.
Other Things to Note:
One of the building (home) owners lives on the second floor and has some limited availability to guests to answer questions. We prefer 1-4 guests with maximum occupancy limited to 4 people. No parties or events are allowed. Common respect to others living in the house and neighborhood is desired.
Interaction with Guests:
The third floor space is a private space. My brother or I have some availability if there are any questions or concerns otherwise we really try to respect the privacy of our guests.
