「It is a low cost hostel and well worth the money. Nice big room with a big bathroom and a small balcony. It was clean, but could do with a little renovation. The staff were friendly and spoke good English and they provided me with a bag with some breakfast, since I had to leave before 5 am. I will happily stay there again. 」

「We stayed in Mindelo during the carnaval, la Pousada Monte Cara is located 5 minutes by taxi from the center, in a quite location overlooking the sea. On arrival, Maria, the owner had prepared a chicken soup for our 4 year old daughter, thinking that she might be tired on arrival, we though it was extremely thoughtful and our impression did not change during our stay: all the hotel staff is kind, attentive and very professional, we felt very welcome and relax.
