"WeL asked with the value for money for the apartment which could comfortably sleep six people with two good size bedrooms upstairs, a good size, bathroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen was a good size and had everything you needed and was well stocked with plates cups and glasses and you could quite easily stay there for a longer period of time and just a weekend . "We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. However the room was lovely and so was the bathroom (which had a jacuzzi!) All was nice and clean. On one evening they had a carvery which was very popular and deservedly so. Breakfasts were 'continental' style, but plenty of choice. The bar is an old-fashioned gem."
