Spacious room comparing to some other hotels had room for two big suitcases and still had room to walk. Easy to access the bus to travel around as it was right outside the corner of hotel.

Confidently one of the best ryokan in Kyushu! I have stayed in many decent ryokans in Japan, but Kyutei managed to exceed expectations in all aspects. Highlights are

Nice people and a great area to stay in

Great location - close to the main shopping arcade. Rooms were clean and decent size. Staff were great. The public onsen was nice but smaller for the size of the hotel. Unfortunately, due to the lack of consideration for other guests from parents, there was an intolerable amount of noisy children who were treating the onsen as a swimming pool.
