"The room was clean, but the beds were very stiff … definitely a "love it or hate it" situation depending on your back. It’s a functional choice for an overnight flight, but let's be real: the entire business model relies on you paying for the location. Unfortunately, because i had a layover, I was stuck paying that premium just to be close to the terminal and since the location is so convenient, the property doesn't feel any pressure to invest in decent mattresses, pillows, or basic comforts. Their version of "hospitality" begins and ends at the front door, and they certainly squeeze every cent out of that advantage. For the same price, I could have stayed at a top-tier hotel in Polanco with a full breakfast and an actual interest in guest satisfaction. It’s a shame that when you're transit-bound, and looking for convenience it almost always has to mean "overpriced and uncomfortable.""

"As a hotels.com VIP member they “upgraded” me to a suite but didn’t tell me they were doing a bunch of construction on the other rooms on the floor. There was a very strong paint and vinyl smell that came in through the vents and made me nauseous at times. When I asked the front desk about it they made excuses rather than simply finding a way to help out. Sometimes all we want is to feel like our concerns are being heard and understood, and I did not get that from them. I shouldn’t have to be the one to find a solution or waste my vacation time having to address hotel problems. "
