Downtown Meredith Village Cape

Welcome to the scenic village of Meredith, NH! Centrally located in downtown Meredith, this charming cape is within walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, spas, wedding venues and the shores of both Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Waukewan.

This home has been in our family for over 70 years and we welcome you and your family to stay and enjoy Meredith as much as we do. Whether you are planning a getaway to the lakes and mountains, in town for a wedding celebration, or here to enjoy New Hampshire's famous Fall foliage, you could not ask for a better location than right here!

Just a quick walk across the street and you can stroll the boardwalk on Meredith bay, grab an ice cream cone, or rent a paddleboard. Everything you want to do is within walking distance! When you get back to the house you can relax in the lighted garden and roast marshmallows over the campfire.

We loved our stay at this wonderful property. The location was close to where our daughter was getting married as well as restaurants and shops. The home was clean and very comfortable. We will definitely book again if we come back to the area.

Great Location

The home was very cozy and everything as described. It's location in downtown Meredith is very convenient making it easy to walk to wherever you would like. We will be back again some day!

Great Location

We had a nice stay. We have family on squam lake and that was only a 12 minute drive from Meredith. The property was walking distance to several restaurants & shops.

Lovely

We had a great stay. The location was perfect and easy for us to access anything in downtown Meredith. The kitchen was a good size and very usable, with plenty of soap and towels. The property is overall very clean and well cared for. Probably the greatest feature of the property is the bathroom, very updated, spacious, and clean. It really makes for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely consider renting again.

Just Perfect!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights for a friend's daughter's wedding at Church Landing. The house was just what we needed, it was super clean, well stocked, and the mattress in our bedroom was so comfortable. Great pillows too. It was just 2 of us so didn't check out the 3 upstairs bedrooms. Bathroom is recently updated and also so clean and well stocked. The highlight was the large fire pit which we really enjoyed with a few friends. And the location was very convenient to everything downtown. Loved our stay and would return!

Had the best time!

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our dog. It was a lovely stay! The house was cozy and clean. Also, in a great location - a quiet neighborhood but plenty of places to walk to. We loved the backyard which was fenced & had a fire pit with comfortable chairs, a picnic table near the grill, and also enough room in the yard for my dog to run laps when she had the zoomies. The check in and check out directions were easy to follow and Joan was very responsive to any questions we had. 10/10 experience!

Absolutely perfect

This lovely home was clean, safe, quiet and very comfortable. Even better than anticipated. Location was perfect, within walking distance to everything. The host was extremely accommodating, even allowing a late check out. Fun to note, when my BIL was trying to leave on Monday AM he has to wait a few minutes while the smallest home town Memorial Day parade went right by the house! Added to the charm of Meredith. Highly recommended and we hope to return.

Excellent time, perfect place for a group of friends.

Great place, great location. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. 1 bathroom was a little challenging with 7 people, but we made it work. The yard was perfect, we really enjoyed the fire pit after a long day riding the Mountain View’s, it was so relaxing. Neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. A close walk to the pier and store for everything you need. The grocery store and a Rite Aide are just down the road, 5 minutes. We will definitely stay here again. The owner was responsive to any questions, within minutes! Thank you for sharing your property 😊

Perfection in Meredith!

This amazing historical home is simply perfection! So much I wanted to buy it, or at least move in forever. It is everything you want to feel like a local and I wished I had booked it for longer than my vacation allowed. Literal steps away from everything location wise, a HUGE yard fenced in for my small dog with the loveliest fire pit. The house has everything you need with a modern kitchen and bathroom and the house is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and well-stocked with anything one would need on vacation. I almost don't want to give this secret location away so I can save it for myself all next summer! I hope all who reads this review loves the house as much as my family and I did!

A Nice Property Still a Work in Progress

This property is very, very pretty. The location in Meredith is excellent and walking distance to many restaurants and the waterfront. The fire pit is fabulous. There was a pile of wood to burn but when we went to start the fire, all the wood was wet so no fire. A simple cover for the wood would have helped, especially when the weather in New England has been very unpredictable. Inside is still under renovation and although much of the big work is done, the finish work is still ongoing. The bathroom is especially nice. The towels and bed linens are also nice. The kitchen still needs basic utensils such as measuring spoons, measuring cups, and a baking sheet (for heating pizza, baking cookies, etc.). We found dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, but no bath soap, which we had to ask for and was finally provided. We've stayed at many properties in Vermont, New Hampshire, Canada, and Europe so with a few additions, this will be a wonderful property to rent.
