"Very clean. Arrived after restaurant closed after a 24 hour journey so hotel told us we could only buy snacks at hotel shop, they were so expensive...only to discover there were shops and restaurants within walking distance!"

"Staff were very helpful throughout our stay. We got a free ride from SJO airport to the hotel which was a short 10 min ride. The rooms are small and have very basic necessities, table fan (NO AC), and an assembled wardrobe to hang your clothes. The breakfast was decent with local delicacies like platanos, casado, fruits, juices and local coffee. "I got a single at Garden House and paid for the pick-up service from the airport. As a solo female traveler, I was nervous about staying here by myself, but everything was great! Gerardo picked me up right on time, safely drove me to the property, and showed me around the house. The managers kindly shared go-to spots around San Jose and nearby areas.
