"The cottage is very clean and comfortable, with a great view. The host is responsive and the rental is stocked well with the necessities. I would say that this host actually provides more than most. The lack of a dishwasher is a mild inconvenience but understandable based of the age of the cottage. The hot tub is a huge benefit but it is located on the cottage side which faces the host's personal home, next door. However, that location was the only option and the host gave us complete privacy. The listing advises "in walking distance to town". Be advised there is no sidewalk and you will likely prefer to drive. All in all, it is a nice rental. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Cliff House! The home was spotless, well stocked, and instantly felt like home.We booked it for the view of DeSoto Falls—and WOW, it delivered. The view is truly breathtaking. Sitting on the porch listening to the falls never got old…we could’ve stayed there all day.You can walk to multiple trails with different vantage points of the falls, which made exploring super easy and fun.The location is convenient, and the home is easy to access. Balpha, the owner, greeted us on arrival and couldn’t have been nicer. You can tell he truly loves sharing this special place.We visited in March, so some restaurants were still closed, but we didn’t mind. We grabbed a few things at the Dollar General and enjoyed sandwiches at the house (because honestly, you won’t want to leave that view anyway). We did find a great spot recommended by Balpha—New Tiger's Inn Restaurant—and ended up going twice! Check out their daily specials on Facebook.If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Check in: We checked 1.5 hours after check in time and the cleaner was still there. I wish the host communicated this when I called an hour out to ask for check in instructions. Cabin description: It said three bedrooms, there was only one bedroom with a door, the other two were lofts. The third loft had exposed electrical outlet and the ladder/stairs were wobbly. Only one shower in the cabin, other bathroom had only a tub. The fireplace had the glass pane missing, the host said it was still usable, but we didn’t feel comfortable. The sofa bed was dirty and the other couple didn’t want their kids to sleep on it. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, there was no cabin space. The front loader washer had mildew and required high efficiency detergent. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the fire pit. We used the grill and loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee. It was so cold the first day and the heater didn’t stay on during the night or when we left and came back, it got down to low 60s, but the next day was warmer. Host said it was climate controlled. Lake nearby was awesome, my son enjoyed fishing and using the canoe and kayaks. Only one TV in the living room, not enough seating for 8 people, only one couch, one arm chair and one recliner that didn’t recline all the way. Close to parks, beautiful property, just surprised at size and other issues mentioned above. Wouldn’t stay here again with 8 people.4 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs. "

"Beautiful and relaxing place to unplug! The views from the house are amazing and are enjoyed from both inside and outside the house. We had everything we needed during our stay and are looking forward to returning for a longer vacation in the future. "
