We loved the charm and setting of this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and sit on the banks of he Menai Straits. Each public room is wonderfully furnished with the charm of a French chateau. Our room had the best hotel shower I have ever seen with three different shower heads. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very well done. In particular, I had a halibut baked in pastry that was a real gormet meal.

This review is from an American's perspective. Our first UK/Wales trip. This is a class operation. It is a country house, not a hotel. All rooms were different, very nicely appointed and roomy; comfortable beds. No in-room safe. I don't have any reference from other country houses. But in my opinion, five stars all the way. Common spaces were great. Very nice conservatory, glass on all sides. Formal living room with plenty of seating. Huge, manicured grounds. This is out in the country. Quiet....

Had a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Location is perfect. Close to everything. Parking nice and easy on premise. Great breakfast at Erskine Arms down the road. Would recommend.

It was great except pillows were not comfortable too hard , And the bed mattress was not 1 peace it was attached in the middle . Everything else was great and we had a great stay there and definitely we will come back and also recommend it to our friends .

Could not ask for a better place to stay or nicer people

Really nice guest house. The owners are prepared and ready to help. The room is clean with nice comfortable bed. Good location close to water, town center, and pub/restaurant next door. Overall a wonderful stay.

Conwy is beautiful & the Castle Hotel is a great hotel. Very comfortable room and quite place to spend the night. The adjacent restaurant is lovely.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Lake View Hotel. Amy and James were wonderful hosts, the breakfast was delicious, rooms comfortable and well appointed. Easy walk to the town of Llanberis and bus stop across the street to Mt. Snowdon. The back garden is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful viewfrom the room. Smoked kippers for breakfast. The alley to the car park was very narrow and had deep pot holes.

Lovely property. Historic. Our room was above the kitchen and a little noisy but we enjoyed our stay very much and I would stay again.

Well first of all the staff was pleasant, helpful and professional. For me the location was excellent with plenty of places to walk, multiple supermarkets within easy walking distance and several place to order good food. Speaking of food, the Beef and Guinness pie served here was excellent. One thing, the car navigation system in the car I leased (a VW Golf Hybrid 8 SE from Europcar) not only couldn't locate the place, in fact it couldn't find Station street in Bangor at all (this has happened...

Modern rooms in an old inn. Comfy beds. Very good full breakfast. Good people running things.
