Essential amenities were on the doorstep but there were a number of houses and business premises ‘for sale’ indicative of a declining community. This said, it was a good holiday with friendly locals and a good base for exploring the Orne/La Perche region."

I definitely could have used instructions on how to use an induction stove and a convection oven, and the clothes dryer. Having those instructions in English would have been a bonus! "Good location near the train station and bus depot and nearby Carrefour market and gas station. Nearby restaurants within walking distance including Chez Fano. Room had comfortable bed and pillows. Off street private parking area was convenient and secure. Staff was friendly and efficient, and assisted in securing dinner reservation. Breakfast started early at 6:45 AM and included typical assortment of breads, croissants, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurts and coffee machine. Overall good value."
