Terrible Beds!!

I would leave a 5 star review if i could have slept, but since the beds are 20 plus years, some covered with a memory foam to hide their age, we ended up leaving a day early because of them. It doesnt matter how nice the location is, or how cute a place is decorated, etc etc., if the beds suck the whooe experience sucks. If the owners wouod invest 1 or 2 k in beds it wouod be great.

One of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a very long time. Sleeping with the windows open hearing the river run by, was exactly what the doctor ordered. Topping off our trip with a visit to nearby Gold Fork hot springs. Excellent trip!

River Retreat

We loved listening to the river rapids from the unit and the pool-very relaxing and peaceful. Rivers Bend Condos are well designed and maintained. Great location on the river and only a short walk from a public beach on the lake, Shore Lodge and a breakfast/lunch cafe. The unit is very well supplied and can easily accommodate 6 people.

The unit is woefully in need of updating, a deep cleaning, and some serious maintenance. The corners of some walls have been rubbed off down to the metal corners. Many of the the dishes in the kitchen are chipped. The cookware is scratched. The cookware, utensils, and glassware all appear to have come from the thrift store in downtown McCall. The kitchen shelving is lined with rubber, which is in need of cleaning. Bi-fold doors don’t function well. It is unclear if the bedspreads and blankets have been cleaned between reservations. Our feeling is probably not. They are folded/stuffed into drawers and atop shelves in the bedrooms, without any type of packaging indicating that they are clean. The 2 twin beds upstairs creak whenever there is movement on them, creating a noisy night for those who sleep in that room. (During our visit, we found food, used tissues, and a lipstick under a bed, so we vacuumed and dusted the room before it was used.) The shower in that room has mildew in it. Plenty of firewood was provided, but no kindling, and no axe or hatchet to make use of the wood to start a fire. There is a long, hanging wire outside the living room window. The front-door code provided in the arrival information was incorrect. We were able to open the lock-box to obtain a key. In our opinion, the issues are not housekeeping issues, they are issues with the management company, which does not provide enough time between reservations to properly clean and maintain the unit.

The home was nice and we loved the set up for our family. Did not like the complex.

We enjoyed the house, but one particular resident hovered around scrutinizing every move. She was quick to make comments that were unnecessary, unwelcome and unappreciated about the complex and the rules. We were not comfortable being outside of our building and enjoying the river or pool, we were followed every time. So even though the home was nice and the setting beautiful, we will not be returning to this site because of rude and nosy neighbors. This setting would be ideal for an older couple-not familiy friendly at all.

McCall is great!

This property was a wonderful location. We loved being at the river! We had one snag with the water. The property was doing some work and needed to shut off our water. When it came back on, we had problems with 2 of the toilets and the power bathroom sink won't turn off. The toilet downstairs is very slow to fill and has a constant leak. The toilet in the upstairs guest bathroom won't flush unless you put in a bunch of water. This didn't hold us back because it happened the day before we left. But it definitely needs to be addressed for the next guest.

Great Location - River your backdoor and the Lake just Blocks Away

We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the place is dated (mid 80's ish), but it fit our needs. A couple blocks from the lake, a river at your back door, a pool less than 50 feet away, tennis courts and easy parking. The age just added to its character. The only drawback was that it was hot while we were there. A ductless mini-split would do this place wonders. I would book again and again.

2nd chance vacation

We stayed here last year but unfortunately, they were replacing the roofs in all three buildings and it was Very noisy. Vacasa refunded us some of our money but the Homeowners never even reached out to us to apologize. But we decided to give it a second chance. The location is perfect. There is literally the river running behind the property. There is a pool, which is wonderful. The facility itself is nice. It was much quieter this year so that was nice. We learned from last year that the place lacked in some of its amenities so we packed things like better frying pans and utensils. We brought fans because some of the fans there are still broken from last year. We were very disappointed in the electrical outlets. More than 2/3 s of them are so loose that you cannot plug in your computers, etc. Also dangerous. Not sure that we will go back again this next year.

Love the view!

The condo was really nice and clean ! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to make wonderful meals! The river view was awesome and so relaxing! You could hear the river from inside the codo, so relaxing! The pool was very relaxing and situated right next to the river. So we could sit by the pool while looking at the river! Year round neighbors were very friendly and welcoming us there! Only a 2 minute drive to town and thw lake! All around a great stay!

NEW ROOF INSTATLATION FOR YOUR VACATION

THE PROPERTY AND LOCATION OF THE PLACE WAS GREAT. UNFORTUNATELY, NEW ROOFS WERE BEING INSTALLED ON ALL THREE BUILDINGS. IT WAS NOISEY AND DIRTY BUT WE HAD NO CHOICE OF WHETHER TO STAY OR GO BECAUSE WE ARRIVED AT 4 PM TO CHECK IN. THERE WAS ALSMOST NO PARKING SPACES, COMPRESSORS AND CORDS HANGING EVERYWHERE, LUNCH DEBREE FROM THE WORKERS FALLING OFF THE ROOFS, ALL OF THE NOISE OF REMOVING THE OLD ROOFS STARTING AT 7 AM AND GOING TO AT LEAST 9 PM. WE OBVIOUSLY WENT FOR A "VACATION" OF QUIET TIME AND SOME PRIVACY. WE HAD NEITHER. OUR 3 YEAR OLD GRANDSON ARRIVED AND COULDN'T LEAVE THE BACK DOOR WITHOUT SHOES AND HAD TO WATCH FOR DEBREE FALLING AT ALL HOURS. I WOKE UP ONE MORNING AND THERE WAS A WORKER LOOKING INTO MY BEDROOM AS HE WAS RIPPING OFF THE OLD SHINGLES. I KNOW THAT THIS WAS A ONE TIME THING BUTTTT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND GIVEN A CHOICE OF WHETHER WE WERE AGREEABLE TO THIS SITUATION. SHAME ON ALL INVOLVED. I GUESS THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN IF YOUR GUESTS ARE HAPPY.

Overall maintenance poor

This home has some really great amenities and has a great location. The cleanliness was a huge disappointment. The bedding did not appear clean and the floors both carpeted and tile were dirty. Under the beds and around the furniture was just really dirty. Two of the closet doors did not work one was completely off the track and could not be fixed by us, we were able to fix the one on the pantry. Cold water pressure was weak, so the washer took an hour to fill for rinse cycle. The sad thing is that this is a great place, just needs some general junk cleaning out and at a minimum to have all the carpets cleaned though they are so filthy at the edges, replacement would be even better. The neighbors are very pleasant and helpful. We loved the grass, the river and the pool.

River Bend #19

I love the setting at Rivers Bend. The permanent residents are very friendly. Unit 19 was not cleaned well. The kitchen floor was not mopped and there many stains on the carpet. The shower door in the downstairs bathroom was broken as was the door to the entry closet. It had come off its runners. Most of the wood doors inside the unit were desperately in need of new stain. But worst of all was the fact that no one informed us that a new roof was being installed the week we were there. Pounding from 7 am to 9:30 pm was not very relaxing. Plus the debris from the roof was thrown on the ground making it difficult to go out either the front or back door. Tuesday night Aug the 3rd we were awaken by pounding on roof at 11:30 pm. That lasted for 45 minutes to an hour. The next day we heard by a resident that the workers were nailing down tarp because they heard it was going to rain. Yes, they were back at 7:30 am. The patio was covered in debris and dust making it difficult to enjoy the river from there. I finally swept it myself. Just like home. It's a good thing McCall is a beautiful setting or our vacation would have been a total disaster. I will not request Unit 19 again. We have stayed in unit C10 and loved it. Hopefully it will be available if we ever go back.

Great location

We stayed for the weekend and the location is perfect with a beautiful river in the backyard and just a couple mins drive to downtown McCall it was great. It is a older condo so there is somethings that need to be updated also there is NO A/C but it stayed coolish in the 100+ weather. Would stay again

Awesome winter condo!

Excellent for family of six!! Great central location. Walk to the lake. Easy drive to town or Brundage for skiing. Cozy fireplace and great layout. Kitchen appliances and laundry need to be replaced, or at least new appliances. Stove needs replaced immediately as didn’t work, but manager was responsive and brought us crockpot immediately — and sent a repair person as soon as possible. We did not use gas grill as it was too dirty. With those issues addressed we’d give full five stars. All said great overall experience.

Overall the place was great. However, it is advertised as a cabin, but it is a condo. So just keep that in mind. The fireplace was great, once we found more wood out in the garage. The views were amazing for sure.

Quick Summer Stay

Good location, nice space, great views from back porch, but lacked privacy, minor cleanliness and important amenities. Pictures represent accuracy of inside but does not show outside of condo - it is wall attached condo to many other condos. These units also have no AC, which isn’t necessarily stated in description, so staying there in the summer was tough. As other reviews have stated, neighbors are aware of new visitors and made their presence known. Some updates to beds would be ideal in secondary upstairs bedroom, as well as bedding.

Cozy Condo along the river

I loved the location. Very convenient to get anywhere you want to around McCall. Nice fireplace, TVs, dining area, and functional kitchen. The master bed was very comfortable. The master jet tub is also nice but only for one person. Great little porch in the back to sit and watch the river. Most everything was pretty clean except the cleaning crew forgot to clean out the ashes in the fireplace or sweep the cobwebs up high. Now for the downside, I had a lot of trouble getting questions answered from Vacasa. No way or opportunity to directly contact the owner. The place gets four stars, Vacasa gets two stars for poor service. Tip: Don’t book Vacasa rentals through Airbnb. It’s very confusing. Just book directly through Vacasa.
