Just 10 minutes from Sigatoka and 500 meters from the Shangri-La Fijian, it’s ideally located yet feels like a secluded paradise. The accommodations were pristine, cozy, and beautifully accented with Fijian decor, creating a warm and authentic vibe. The expansive grounds were full of tranquil spots to unwind, and I spent hours lounging by the pool with a refreshing cocktail in hand—watching the sunset was an unforgettable highlight. The restaurant was a true gem! The à la carte menu was packed with delicious options, from fresh lobster and seafood to the mouthwatering sizzling eye fillet steak. The Asian cuisine added a fantastic variety, and every dish was flavorful, well-priced, and showcased the best of Fijian and international flavors. The staff’s genuine hospitality made every moment special, and their commitment to sustainability and the local community added a heartfelt touch to the experience. With its intimate size and serene atmosphere, Gecko’s is the ideal spot for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and soak in Fiji’s beauty. "I have stayed at the Hideaway for the past ten years. Although there are many other prestigious resorts at the Coral coast, I love staying at the Hideaway because the bures are only steps away from the beach, it is a place of peace, the resort is not too big and therefore not impersonal and all of the staff are so caring and friendly and a big shout out to the manager Miva who would do anything to make sure you all of your needs are catered for. Only negative is the poor internet connection."
