Service heel erg goed. Kreeg op de dag van aankomst een app met de vraag hoe laat we ongeveer zouden aankomen, info over het parkeren enz. Mensen zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam! En een prachtig uitzicht, vooral s’avonds!!

The kindest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They really made our stay memorable, a beautiful hotel with large rooms, comfortable beds. Recommend eating at the hotel - excellent chef and better than any other restaurant in Matera. Charlie & Berenice

The property is very unique as you are staying inside on the side of a mountain rock, but beautiful and panoramic looking at the cave.

Une expérience unique en son genre.
Hôtel de charme aux pièces creusées dans la montagne, sans fenêtre! Salle de bain magnifique. La vue est aussi splendide même si on en profite peu. Personnel très attachant .

Cet hôtel est absolument époustouflant. Tout est fait pour être à l'aise. Le lieu de situation de l'hôtel est magique. Tout est hors du temps, on se sent totalement coupé de notre quotidien, un vrai dépaysement. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel, tout est fait maison et les produits sont frais. Et le plus important, le personnel est aux petits soins, pleins de bon conseils et d'attention. Je dois dire un immense merci à Giovanna, pour sa conservation enrichissante, son accueil chaleureux. Nous étions comme à la maison.

The hotel was in a fantastic position for visiting all the historical sites of Matera. The view in the morning was fantastic. The hotel room was amazing as it was located in a cave. The staff were fantastic and helped with all requirements.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per due notti, camera stupenda, vista altrettanto, al personale non mi sento di dare neanche la sufficienza. Consiglio di non mettere la macchina nel parcheggio che loro a pagamento offrono ma soprattutto di non aspettarsi una richiamata dallo staff o dal direttore perché se ne fregano completamente di richiamare se attendete notizie e delucidazioni.

This is a great property to stay at when visiting Matera. Conveniently located to the Duomo in the Sassi, all the main sights and restaurants are within an easy walking distance. The room we stayed in was amazing. The staff are polite and hopeful. The breakfast selection is outstanding.

For a luxury property and the price tag of the room, the expectations were not fully met. The main light was very dim (almost broken) and the room, being in a cave, was very dark. The waterfall of the in-room pool was broken. One of the two sinks tap was very very stiff (almost impossible to close once opened). No glasses on the sink for washing teeth. For the price tag a welcome gift would have been appreciated (a champagne glass, or a small bottle of wine), i've had them in way less luxury properties. Otherwise the pool in the room is really nice and the location of the property is right in the middle of the Matera Stones. The breakfast was very good and diverse with both sweet and savoury. Staff was welcoming.

La struttura in mezzo ai Sassi, subito sotto la Cattedrale e’ modernissima ed ha molto charme. Siamo stati accolti con calore e Simpatia da Erica che ci ha organizzato in pochi minuti la visita al FAI, dato che il giorno successivo sarebbe stato chiuso. La camera standard era più che accogliente e la colazione , in una sala da film, abbondante e di qualità

El hotel súper buen situado y con una vista espectacular desde el segundo piso , aunque hay que subir y bajar algunas escaleras a mi parecer valió la pena, la persona de recepción me contesto siempre muy amable y dispuestos a ayudarnos en todo momento para ubicarnos y poder llegar al hotel aunque debes entrar al centro histórico para eso y es un poquito estresante si manejas por la cantidad de turistas qué hay en las calles

Fantastic, small hotel, right in the centre behind the cathedral in a quiet spot overlooking the gorge. Big room and bathroom in a cave with very tasteful interior.

Abbiamo alloggiato in una junior suite al piano terra. Camera meravigliosa ed enorme con la zona bagno parzialmente separata da un muro. Doccia fantastica. Unica pecca il fatto che la porta di ingresso della camera fosse direttamente sulla via con continuo passaggio di turisti vocianti. Ottima la colazione servita in una grotta molto suggestiva. C’era ampia scelta sia di dolce che di salato. Personale gentilissimo e discreto. L’hotel e’ Vicinissimo al Duomo e si trova in una delle vie più panoramiche. Lo straconsiglio

Room with a view
Excellent experience overall. The hotel is in a fantastic position, the staff helpful to make the most of your stay. The top rooms are exceptional (even so, having a chair or two would be nice), but the standard room is cramped and with no view. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of homemade cakes, the setting in a cave, and Matera under the snow, unforgettable.
