Neighborhood spotty, lack of “pride of ownership.” If ur planning 2 stay n or b back on the River, you’ll b fine! Home is clean 4 most part. 1 Kitchen drawer had quite a bit of crumbs, seeds, debris, most likely over-looked by HK. Instructions state guests r 2 remove “all” items from fridge b4 leaving, so, I was disappointed 2 find all 3 side compartments n fridge completely full of condiments- as well, the pantry was a MESS to say the least! It caused me more work than I needed w/having to box up things left behind & move them 2 the colder outdoors & then put them back b4 leaving. Owner had no clue/instructions 4 guests on how 2 use the TV when it came to streaming videos. This was a BIG item 4 us & I expressly made that clear b4 securing reservations. Eventually, we did get it set up. I did use Verizon w/ a hot spot, but still had interruptions, however, they were minor. I dealt with the issues I had on arriving and chose not 2 disturb owner, except 4 TV. After checkout, Owner charged a $250 Damage. I called immediately due 2 the comments left re; damage fee. She stated I had violated the no-pet policy & she had documentation of dog, with “RING” doorbell Video AND Audio that she watched people thru. She said she knew the dog was outside & inside. When I asked her 4 proof of that she said, “because there was hair on “a” bedspread, but a person wouldn’t b able 2 know what kind w/out a DNA test!” 😳 And, that there was small dog poop outside in her yard, per the HK & they Only have big dogs n the neighborhood. Her Ring would have definitely shown her the situation w/my dog went like this.... Husband followed me out 2 the house 2 unload my Escalade. He took r 10 lb Shih Tzu w/ Him in pick up & when I needed help w/the lock box he came from pickup 2 the lockbox, dog n arms. I took r dog from him & proceeded 2 take him 2 my car & put him n while my husband unloaded. Then r dog went from my car 2 Husbands pickup & home. Never once leaving our arms! He did not have a collar or leash that day and He NEVER entered the premises either! I expressed my dissatisfaction abt these charges, specifically abt the dog. We came 2 an agreement of $125, so she could “pet clean” the home 2 her satisfaction, due 2 “how the situation “looked” 2 her,” & also 2 replace a pillow, cover & case that a guest got sick on, from the FLU. That, I was happy 2 replace 100%, bc it needed 2 b thrown out @ that point. Overall, we had a Nice Comfortable Stay w/ room 2 move about!
