"The host was wonderful and communicated very well throughout our stay. We also really appreciated that our dogs were welcome, which is becoming harder to find. The photos made the space look a little bigger than it actually was, but that wasn’t a huge issue. The regular beds were comfortable, but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and had a strong odor. I was glad I packed extra bedding because my kids ended up being more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The rest of the cottage was clean, so maybe just an oversite or not used often. Probably better suited for 4 people vs 5-6. The “beach” area is a bit misleading—it isn’t really suitable for swimming, though it would be fine for launching a kayak. Overall, we enjoyed our family vacation, but I probably wouldn’t stay again. I felt the property was a little overpriced for what it offers."

"My wife, dogs and myself all loved this stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Having such a great area for the dogs was fantastic. Will definitely stay here again. First time staying someplace and never interacting with any staff, different but I liked it."

"Heather's place was a perfect location for exploring the UP. The house is comfortable and charming; the view of the lake is gorgeous; and Heather responds immediately. Peace, tranquility, ease, comfort. And the folks in Garden are very friendly and welcoming."

"This place was perfect for what we needed. My fam (2 teens, myself and wifey) were able to sleep, prepare some meals, and sit on a swing overlooking Lake Michigan in the morning and evening. It was kinda tight for us on the one day it rained and we couldn’t get out to our beaches and trails BUT it was so good for us as a family. I highly recommend this place for a family my sized or a group of friends who just want to get out and explore. It was so affordable (thanks Stacy) and conveniently placed for everything outside. When we pulled out on our last day, I asked the family if this was an experience worth repeating, without a second of silence everyone agreed YES!!! We would DEFINITELY come back!"

"We had an excellent stay! The host was responsive with communications and directions to the property were clear. The yard and deck were maintained with comfortable outdoor chairs. Having 2 types of grill was a huge bonus! The space was clean and comfortable with all the things we needed and some great unexpected bonuses. We hope to be back soon!"
