"I stayed 3 nights. It was pleasant and mostly friendly. I had a slight problem with my room in that at first there was a slight Sulphur smell in the bathroom. The room itself was adequate. It needed a bit of TLC. The staff were mostly friendly. The breakfast was very good, apart from the coffee. The hotel was well situated for walking to everything. I definitely would recommend the hotel."

"My wife and I have visited Germany several times over the last 10 years and Wuerzburg has been part of our itinerary a half dozen times. We enjoy the city, its relaxed pace, and German/Franken ambiance. In the last three of our visits to the city, we have stayed at Hotel Strauss. Its location - an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station and a 5-10 minute walk from market square, the Alte Bruecke, and central environs - is just right, rooms are clean and well-kept, and, while it has modern amenities, maintains a traditional feel. Its fine restaurant no longer is open, but a full breakfast still is served in its dining and adjacent rooms. We plan to stay at Hotel Strauss on future visits to Wuerzburg."
