Marbella Marina

Marbella Marina showing a bay or harbor and a sunset
Varied dining options, water sports excursions and two beaches make this marina one of the most popular attractions in central Marbella.

Marbella Marina (Puerto Deportivo de Marbella) is a gateway to superb culinary experiences and water-based adventures in the Costa del Sol. Make the most of uninterrupted coastal views from the terrace of the many bars and restaurants. Charter a boat for a scenic Mediterranean cruise and try your hand at water sports. Relax on beaches and take a leisurely stroll on a seafront promenade.

Walk along the marina’s piers and admire the different styles of boats, which range from luxury catamarans to simple fishing boats. An artisan market sets up on the breakwater on weekends during the summer months and on Sunday throughout the rest of the year.

Tour operators at the marina offer the chance to try fly boarding, parasailing and water sledding. You can also join fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling trips. Alternatively, rent a boat or Jet Ski and explore the coastline at your own pace.

If you prefer to stay dry then watch the marina’s action from the patios of the bars and restaurants. There’s everything from cocktail bars, themed pubs and seafood restaurants to choose from. They open from early in the morning until late at night.

Beaches on either side of the marina provide non-stop relaxation beneath Marbella’s year-round sunshine. Palapas (thatched umbrellas) and sun loungers are available for rent. Refresh the body in the mild, perfect blue water of the Mediterranean. Children can have fun at the play areas.

Partake in a typical Marbella pastime by sauntering down the tree-shaded esplanade. You’ll find more restaurants as well as kiosks selling beach toys, cold drinks and snacks. Look up at the 95-feet (29-meter) tall Marbella Lighthouse, marvel at striking sand sculptures and spot a statue of a naked woman on waterskis. The promenade skirts the seafront for 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) to Puerto Banús.

Located in Marbella city center, Marbella Marina is a short walk from the resort’s historic Old Town. Drivers can use the metered car park. A passenger ferry departs at regular intervals for Puerto Banús Marina.
