Everything about this place is wonderful: the location, the amenities, the cuteness of it, being near the river, cleanliness, easy check-in, having our own fire pit next to the river, the parking, dog friendly, the hosts (they are so nice and friendly). It's a perfect place to stay when we visit our son and family near by.
The property is beautiful-in a very nice neighborhood.
Nice porch on the back to over look the amazing trees,
and the beautiful Creek(River)!
The cabin is indeed ‘cozy’…and the area very quiet.
Also very convenient to grocery, and shopping.
This Little cabin is set on a lot beside the home of the owners, who by the way are friendly and welcoming. The cabin is well appointed, clean and cosy. The owners thought of everything.
We enjoyed our stay immensely.
The surrounding area is old growth forest with a creek running past a feet short steps away. Hiking/walking/biking trails near by.
The location was just magical! It was in the middle of a forest with the Cedar River close by. The road there was very narrow and windy. It was difficult to find late at night when we arrived, but we were pleasantly surprised at beautiful location when daylight appeared. It was small but adequate. The only negative was the fact that the bathroom was on the main level and the bedroom downstairs. The balcony overlooking the river was a big plus! We enjoyed our retreat very much!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is rustic, comfortable but what really sealed the deal was the proximity to the Cedar River! A few steps out the door and you are at water's edge in amongst lovely old and new trees and the sun dappling through. Stick your feet in! It really does wonders to replenish nature starved suburban or city dwellers.
I would would love to say "noooo, don't go there" so it may always be available when we want to go back, but but that would be selfish of me. It really is a lovely getaway!
I cannot fault The Cozy Cabin on the Cedar River. A truly idyllic setting; it was quiet, comforting and totally relaxing.
The cabin had a wonderful woody fragrance and the sound of the Cedar River put me to sleep at night. A short trip into downtown for supplies. Just about every amenity you could need.
Getting into Seattle wasn't terribly difficult. Like any city, it has traffic on the major highways, but I got into Seattle in about 45 minutes.
I may go back to Seattle next year; if I do, you can be sure I'll be staying at The Cozy Cabin on the Cedar River!
This place is everything it says and more. The owners are delightful and live in the house next door. They made sure I had everything I needed and even built a fire for me to enjoy. There are 2 cats that roam the property. They are friendly and adorable. They have the biggest yellow lab I have ever seen and he is goofy and happy. His bark is loud and he shows his excitement. He doesn't jump up on you and just likes a good pet. The cabin itself has everything you would need for a short visit. I stayed 3 nights and loved it. The kitchen is fully stocked for you to cook a meal if you wanted. The bathroom is very tiny but functional. It has a regular size tub and the water gets hot. The tub slowly leaks while you are taking a bath. It would have been nice to have a rubber plug stopper as well as the machanical plug. That was a minor thing and didnt effect the experience. The couch is comfy and cute. They had a couple games and puzzle books to fidle with. My husband and I enjoyed some Sudoku and a word puzzle. I wouldnt sudgest any more then 2 people in the cabin. There is a wood burning stove but the place was plenty warm with the heaters. The widows fold open which was cute and the fresh air was amazing. The stairs are a bit tricky. I suggest bringing some house shoes with a good grippy sole to make it safer going up and down. I would say the stairs reminded me of permanent attic stairs. Steep and carpeted with a rail. I spent most of my time by the river. It was magical!
I was highly impressed with the amenities as well as the spot. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this is among the best. Will definitely stay there again.

This cabin is in such a great location. It’s super relaxing and a really nice getaway. We enjoyed the cabin so much and would highly recommend it to others.
We really loved how quaint the cabin was and how quiet and relaxing the whole experience was. Rachel and Brian were awesome but Ziggy stole our hearts. Close to all you need and enjoyed family and friends visiting us.
Clean with everything we needed. Nice peaceful location along a beautiful river. Owner is super nice. We enjoyed our stay. We are visiting family in the area so this was very convenient. Thanks for having your cabin available for us!
Stayed here in July 2023 and was pleasantly surprised at the great location in a wooded area but close enough to amenities. There is the Cedar River behind the cabin that we put our feet in and our dog had a great time removing all the sticks out of the water. Would definitely stay here again.
This place is more beautiful than any of these pictures. The surrounding forest and river were as enchanting as they were rejuvenating. Cabin was clean and felt safe. Would definitely come back if staying in maple valley area.
We had a really relaxing visit at the cabin. The house was clean and adorable, we loved playing with Ziggy (yellow lab) when he was outside. We enjoyed sitting by the river next to the fire pit. We visit Maple Valley a couple times a year and will definitely make this our new “go to” spot.
From the beautiful scenery to the absolutely friendly and welcoming hosts, this was a place i will be coming back to more than once. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest thanks to Rachell, Brian and Ziggy. Kim
I absolutely am in awe with this place. Definitely meant for two people only, and no kids. I loved that the phone reception wasn’t the best, because it really forced my significant other and I to spend less time on our phones, and more time together. I felt I was in a Thomas Kinkade painting. We will definitely be coming back here again next year.
