Beautiful hotel with amazing views. The breakfast was great and the service was impecable. Check in and parking were easy. The restaurant was close on Monday but you can walk less than a block to a lot of restaurants.

Amazing stay.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Nothing but good things about this place. From the moment we checked in at the reception, very friendly, accomodating and helpful staff. The views are amazing, very peaceful, lots of vegetation, very close to restaurants. The lady at the restaurant is so sweet, kind and friendly. We felt very welcomed. I would definitely without a doubt will come back to this place and will suggest to friends and family.

Great property and staff. We were offered a free upgrade to the villa due to the length of our stay! What a nice surprise! The only negative was the construction that we were told was going to last two days, lasted the whole 11 days we were there. But, we did understand that it was required and they had to complete it. Would have just liked them to be more honest about the time frame! Other than this, great place and we would stay there again.

Maybe the best view in MA!

Beautiful and very calm resort with the best view in Manuel Antonio. Our room was spacious, freshly renovated, and the service was top-notch. The jacuzzis in the "enchanted forest" need some TLC. Some staff are still learning English, leading to occasional charming misunderstandings. Special thanks to the lovely Carmen at the bar, and thank you for noticing and highlighting both our birthdays! It was a very kind surprise and appreciated.

I had an incredible time. The hotel has a very social atmosphere. The pool and jacuzzi areas have gorgeous views, as do all the rooms. The bar staff are amazing. However the reception staff could be a bit more welcoming. Also the safe in my room didn’t work and after a few trips to reception to try to get it resolved, they were unable to do so. Luckily the hotel felt very safe and I didn’t have to worry about my valuables.

Enjoyed our week long stay!

Recently renovated, my husband and I had a gorgeous superior king room that was very spacious! We loved the balconies and the gorgeous views. Everything was very clean, although the towels were very old and worn for pool use and very small and not too nice for the bathroom. Brand new towels arrived for pool/beach use the day before we left so that was nice! The food at the restaurant was very good, but often they did not serve lunch when it was supposed to be available. Outstanding service by Gerald from concierge, Carmen who made excellent drinks and attended to us in the afternoon/evenings and Kenia in the mornings who got to know what our usual breakfast orders were. The pool was lovely, although new lounge chairs should be next in their renovation plans. A few monkeys were around the restaurant occasionally in the mornings, but not really any colorful birds on site. Gerald, Joanna and Carmen also spoke English the best, the others were not as proficient. The location was great, walkable to many restaurants. Easy enough to hop on the bus to the beach. Adults only, there is still a high percentage of gay male couples at this hotel, but there are also some straight couples there and it is no longer clothing optional, which was fine. It was a good choice for our family of 4, including our one LGBTQ adult child, for whom we picked this hotel in the first place, with their comfort in mind.

Charming hotel great for some alone time with your partner. Went during off season so only three other couples staying there and never rant into all of them at the same time. Parking is easy and free and location is very accessible to the National Park and close to dinner locations. Rooms a bit on the outdated side but does not matter when you are only there to sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Roca. Great views and the pool area was lovely. Also was super convenient for the beach and local shops & restaurants. Very sociable venue too. The breakfast options really require upgrading: their continental breakfast was just fruit & toast, with no options. The facilities generally could also do with an upgrade. We would stay here again.

A Great Escape in the Jungle Steps From Everything

The location can't be beat and the service couldn't have been friendlier. Loved the infinity pool and there were three hot tubs on property that also looked amazing. The room needed a few updates (the overhead shower didn't work, but the handheld did, the overhead light didn't work but the bedside lighting and natural sun provided more than enough light and the safe didn't work) but was always spotless everytime we came back from an epic walkabout or beach trip and though I didn't catch the restaurant being open during my stay, other patrons seemed to love it.

Note: it isn’t a LGBT or clothing optional hotel anymore, so be mindful of old articles/reviews if that’s what you are looking for. Good location with great views. Breakfast was nice although not included. What was the big let down and ruined the stay however was the fact that there was a very pungent sewer smell coming out of the bathroom and stinking the whole room up. When I raised it with reception they said it was probably due to the humidity. Are you kidding me!? It’s always humid in Costa Rica. Surely it wasn’t the first time this happened so can’t believe they would give this room to customers.

This is a top-notch property located between Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Spectacular views from the property. Abundant wildlife that visits. Clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms.
