The property and house are nice. Great room and master have a good view, but because the house is one level, sadly the rest of the bedrooms face the neighbor's house wall or the front street.
Our utter disappointment with this stay stems from the attitude of owner/property management and their complete inflexibility. When a family member tested positive for the Corona virus, they refused any options for rescheduling, even though we were told initially that we could do that with some stringent rules. VRBO specifically has a Covid policy which accommodates for Covid cancelations. But not this house. We were going to lose all of our money ($4000). When we went to the house, it was 6F outside and 63F inside. It couldn't really warm up until the next day. We had to eat dinner in our jackets. The two lovely fireplaces had big signs that said "Not for guests use, thank you for understanding"
I called and complained (answering service). After more than two hours they called and said we could use one fireplace, brought space heater and blankets. (All the blankets on the beds were thin, summer ones). Our stay was right after Christmas and the house felt bare. There was not a shred of holiday spirit, no lights or a candle, nothing to welcome the guests. There were no books, or games or any entertainment like most vacation houses we have been to. The kitchen is equipped with the bare minimum. We had to wash glasses and plates every other meal because there weren't enough even though there were just 4 of us (it's listed for 10 people). Pots and pans were in bad condition. They had a small bag of coffee, salt and a bit of oil. Very "penny wise".
We would not be back or recommend this house!
