The hotel room is beautiful and newly renovated. We will book again on this hotel. The food that they served in the restaurant is delicious and affordable.
Too many stairs....we stayed on the steptest mountain with the tallest castle in the highest tower. With no warning and no elevator. When we got there you would expect an exceptional view except our room had smoked glass that you couldnt see out of. As a westerner i expected toilet paper...i have been in the philippines for a year now but still need the tissue to dry my butt. Shampoo was empty. They made me preform an inventory of the room. In the morning it took 6 phone calls before someone answered the phone to send up the porter.
On the plus the property itself is very well maintained and the meals were good. The staff are super friendly.
Unfortunately the pros outweigh the cons on this property which is a real pitty
Altaroca Mountain Resort in Antipolo is a relaxing getaway with a laid-back ambiance and well-maintained pools. The rooms are comfortable, though the bathrooms are quite small. The staff is friendly and quick to address any concerns, ensuring a smooth stay. While the food options are decent, there’s room for improvement in variety and quality. Accessibility can be a bit tricky, so planning transportation in advance is recommended. Overall, it’s a good choice for a short retreat near Manila, especially for those looking for a simple and hassle-free escape.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Outside of the area is unsafe like the slums. The property has so much flight of stairs with no elevator. You will find yourself so short of breath after 1 flight of stairs. There is also a lot of stray cats inside the property surrounding you most especially when you eat. Very unsafe. Room is clean but bed is like sleeping on hardwood floor, very hard. Bathroom is clean.
No elevators and our room was at the top (lol), stair corridor is so thin :-), i do feel sorry for the staff that carries the luggages. We booked for a week and still have to remind staff that we need to refill mineral water, coffee and other must have in our room. Everything cost, example if you order food outside the hotel you have to pay for a fee because they want you to order in the hotel restaurant. But they dont have the things i want. Looks of the hotel really is decieving.
mmm the place was OK, 1-10 it was 7,
staffs are nice
(except for some of them are smoking) not a pleasant view and smell for me...
i think the property can be more relaxing if videoke is no longer an activity... its a public resort so i think amenities should be more considerate for majority not just for a single group:)
anyway i had fun tanx
This was one of the most disappointing experiences encountered. We booked a high quality room for a family of four, but when we got there they stuck us into a really small room. After double checking with our online reservation the manager told us that they had double booked the room!!!! They showed us another room which was unsatisfactory and we finally compromised on two decent rooms.
The biggest problem I have about this is that they didn’t tell us about their mistake and just dumped us into a crappy room thinking we wouldn’t say anything. And even though the rooms we finally got were decent, they still needed a good clean and the air con was constantly on and couldn’t be switched off. Also, they didn’t tell us a wedding would be taking place and so at 3 o’clock in the morning we were awoken by the noise of the wedding organisers.
It’s a shame, because the resort had potential to be great; there were four outdoor pools, decent food and a nice view. The management and service made the place a big let down.
A bit of honesty goes a long way.
The place is a little bit run-down, they need to upgrade and renovate it. Pool were not clear so I am guessing it is not being cleaned regularly. We are situated at the fourth floor and there were a lot of steps to take to get to our room. It's tiring specially when you were with kids. I did asked for a room near the floor so that we don't have to climb up the stairs every now and then but unfortunately, request was not granted.
Their service is ok. Some staffs and guards are very accommodating. Food was just ok, the coffee was too bland.
