We had a suite for a special occasion and it was worth the extra. Good location, great breakfast, helpful staff. Some of the common areas looking a teensy bit tired but nothing major. Excellent stay.

No bedside table on my side of the bed which was annoying. Girl on check-in desk didn’t point out that we needed to use the card in the lift. Other than those gripes the hotel room is clean and quiet however the lobby is very noisy due to the adjoining bar. The bathroom decor was first class but the room decor was pretty garish and not to my taste. This wouldn’t be my first choice to stay again in this area.

This is a great hotel. The location is perfect for accessing public transport. We've stayed here before so knew what to expect. We didn't use the restaurant this time, but it looked and smelt very good. Our room this time was lovely, good size, tastefully decorated and had everything we could have wanted. The only negative is the lack of staff of an evening at the bar. On both nights we were ignored for 5 minutes, other people were getting quite frustrated too. Lots of dirty glasses on tables which does not look great, another pair of hands to help collect glasses, and wait on tables would be a great addition 😀

Tv in first room was broken, we were moved room fairly swiftly. Noise at the rear to the hotel as bins were being cleared at night. Rooms and corridors were very dark (due to the style) not my cup of tea. Room was so dark I count see the phone to phone reception about the broken tv. Handwash positioned over the toilet roll (which was poorly positioned anyway) which meant the toilet roll got soaked when you washed your hands. Took ages to be seated for breakfast even though they were not especially busy. Not exactly friendly restaurant staff either. Took ages to order hot breakfast which did come very quickly meaning it just sits under a hot plate in the kitchen when it could be placed out buffet style. Not a huge choice of continental items. Lots of tables not cleared. Overall Didn’t feel like an upmarket stay unfortunately.

This Malamaison is ideally situated for mainline train, bus and Metro links. As well as the hotel restaurant, there is a range of dining opportunities close by. Shopping is within easy walking distance. Staff are welcoming and accommodating.

Service was terrible. Bill was wrong. Decor is questionable. Gym is tiny and no atmosphere. Just some dumbells, a bench, a bike and a couple of running machines. Steak was OK. Breakfast was nice.

Lack of really want by any of the staff to serve. The room had broken lights and when telling the front desk at check the individual couldn’t care less about the information being passed on.

Great location, walkable
sually stay here as it is very close to Manchester Picadilly Train station. Train strikes pushed me to drive, and I was suprised at the availability and cost effectiveness of the parking within minutes walking. For some this may be troublesome, but as a single business traveller no problem. And as ever the room was excellent and the bar staff attentive (the 2/3 pint thing is a bit unusually though).

Disappointing breakfast, not just the food
It’s very well located. Don’t bother to either get the Delux club room or pay for breakfast- overcooked sausages and tasteless black pudding. Coffee wasn’t good either. The delis is not different than a double but the price is. Usually love Malmaison hotels… not this one. Staff was friendly, bar staff and reception were lovely but the host at the restaurant didn’t seem to me like he was in the mood for working the morning breakfast shift.

Excellent hotel and staff.
Excellent stay again. Reception staff checked us in one hour early and were very friendly. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was great. No rushing and food was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff are lovely. Rooks are lovely and clean. Breakfast was great. A great stay again

Great stay in a well located hotel
I booked one of the suites and was given a newly refurbished one which was fabulous. Comfortable bed, big TVs, Great to have a separate shower as well as a bath We ate in the restaurant. The bar had a good buzz and the service was spot on.

Freezing cold and terrible service
The room was absolutely freezing even with the heating panel turned to 27 degrees (the maximum). I changed rooms once with the same result. The hotel moved me to an adjacent room and the heating issue was exactly the same
