Quick ski trip

Went skiing for a couple of days. Condo was perfect for our short trip and location close to canyon worked great.

Great stay close to mammoth

Great place to stay if you want to ski at mammoth. Good for a couple or 2 friends. Can hangout in the living room but most of our time was on the mountain so proximity was primary reason

Ski Mammoth

We enjoyed the fireplace and the excellent wood supply. The rental was comfortable for a couple night stay for a ski trip.

Great ski rental home base

My family of 4 (2 teen boys) loved our stay at this condo. It was a cozy and simple place to come back to after a long day of snowboarding. The fireplace with access to wood supply was amazing. The location was great as it was less than a few min drive to Canyon lodge. We never used the hot tub but the shower was hot! Thanks for our stay.

We stayed here for a long weekend trip to Mammoth and loved it. Cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The property is a 5 minute drive to the slopes, and a 2 minute drive to the Village. Would book again in a heartbeat!

The place is not very comfortable - the interior feels like a dump, especially the living room with its narrow couches one can hardly sleep on. There seems to be only one small noisy electric heater downstairs (not counting a fireplace), and it felt freezing cold inside in the morning. Cleanliness is also much to be desired. To the host’s credit, he was very responsive to our requests - for example he fixed a broken light bulb in the living room (which should have been checked beforehand), as well as a remote control for the DVD player, and quickly responded to our other questions. If there is one nice thing about the property, is the jacuzzi outside - we loved being there at nights with so much snow all around it. It is also pretty close to the village. Overall it is tolerable for a short stay, I’ll leave it at that.

Decent option

Overall, I'd consider staying here again based on other options available. Decent offering for the price, as long as you are not too particular. Has a quaint and cozy feel and interesting layout. Pros: better price vs other options at the time (though wouldn't say cheap), has all the minimum necessities, great fireplace and plenty of wood available for fires, pretty close to town and lodges (but don't expect walkable in winter), spa was small, but had good jets, comfy bed, easy parking, old stove was quaint, had coffee available (though not sure if guaranteed or just left over) Cons: hot water seemed to run out after 1.5 showers, shower was difficult to manage - it had good pressure, but no ability to alter water stream, so made moving around and washing/shaving a challenge, wifi does not work well and does not connect with TV well (we ended up watching a movie on our laptop because the TV couldn't stream without stopping every couple minutes), apartment is outdated, but not a deal-breaker if you aren't particular

Great spot for our family

I was pleasantly surprised by the unit. A little bigger than I imagined. Definitely an older feel to it, especially the small kitchen area, but the living room was sizable and the loft provided some sleeping separation between my teenagers (on the couches) and me. Don't expect luxury but if you arrive with lower expectations, this unit will do the trick. The Wii did not work for us, so I hope that gets fixed. But the entertainment options overall were plenty sufficient, including wifi, appletv (and thus netflix/prime), and a bunch of DVDs. We also made daily use of the hot tub, which is within the complex; and we never had to share the tub with other folks, which was nice. The location is great and as advertised. I imagined walking to Canyon Lodge if needed -- as it turned out, weather cooperated and we did not have to do so. It would have been a long (but doable) uphill walk if we did need to walk there. But it was a very quick and easy drive. Charles was really responsive and helpful. I'd happily stay here again if we return to Mammoth for another long weekend of skiing.

Father/Son Expedition.
