Some of the walls were very damp with bubbling of the paint and mould. There was mould around the bathroom plug and around the edge of the shower. "A perfect place to stay after a long day's walk on the Nidderdale Way. The appartement was lovely and warm when we arrived and enjoyed a good hot shower in the shower room. The kitchen was small but everything we needed to make breakfast before starting the next leg of the walk, The bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Had a good meal and a couple of good pints in the Crown Inn which was only a 2 minute walk away."

"Rooms were very nice and comfortable, a few places could do with a touch up and the shower curtain could do with a wash to have a fresher smell, other than that the room was perfect. Hotel location was brilliant and the Restaurant was very pleasant with good food and on Fri/Saturday a piano player and singer makes for a lovely atmosphere whilst dining. Breakfast was pretty good too, I would just add a yoghurt option and swap out the tin plum tomatoes for fresh halved tomatoes. Reception staff when we arrived were very pleasant, and Simone who waited on us in the Restaurant was pleasant with a great sense of humour. Overall I would recommend Stone Trough Hotel and give it 8.5/10"
