"Beautiful property, very well presented in a very quiet location. Everything was impeccable for our stay which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time."

The super outside space with the pool and numerous loungers was perfect for spending lazy days and early evenings on our return from many gorgeous day trips to nearby towns or further afield to the coast which was around an hours drive away. "This is a lovely old hotel, recently refurbished I would imagine, in the centre of Cognac. Staff were friendly with a good command of English and our room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic shower! Breakfast was very good too! Parking is available but as we visited on a weekend we were able to park on the street outside for free. The hotel is very well located for bars and restaurants as well as the major brandy houses."

"The house is as stylish and capacious as the booking information suggests! We made full use of the cool indoor spaces and the pool during our stay at the height of a heatwave. Macqueville and the nearby villages are very quiet and we experienced the slightly unreliable hours of the village shop and restaurant. Booking there is essential. Also a special mention for Dave who was very helpful. "
