The hotel was a good value for the location. There were minimal amenities and at times I felt as though I was in a hostel. The walls were super thin. There was no water provided without purchase. However, the breakfast was amazing and the location to the train and entrance to Machu Picchu could not be better.

There was no soap in the room when we arrived, so we had to request it. The shower had hot water, which was appreciated, but the bathroom was extremely small. The sink was awkward to use because it sat on top of an uncomfortable counter that left very little space. The room itself was small but included the basic amenities you would expect. One downside was having to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs after already walking through town with our bags, since cars cannot access the area. The walls also seemed very thin, and you could hear almost everything at night, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Family of 5 from Minnesota, stayed one night. Breakfast was great, clean and well presented. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent! We left our bags with them to go up to Machu Picchu and after we returned, they let us hang out in the lobby until our train arrived. Very, very friendly. Great value, would recommend 100%!

The hotel is located 5 minutes off the main busy street, besides a river so you get that “retreat” vibe. Hotel owner was very friendly and always check up on you to make your stay comfortable. Clean room and nice lounge area to relax with coffee and tea overlooking the river and mountain is really nothing I can get better with. Because it’s off the Main Street so it is quiet and not getting the constant traffic when it’s peak time for tourist buses to get people to the train station. And it’s safe to walk around the town! :) It is easily accessible by walking to anywhere within Ollantaytambo town! A few hiking trails nearby as well to explore the town! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Small mishap on first day when I thought I had no hot water but blue knob was actually hot and red knob was cold. Fresh breakfast and fruit. Please note that the laid out breakfast is not all- the little counter and window right there, you can ask for scrambled eggs. Also no elevator, so if you’re on the second or third floor, have to climb steps and hotel is also on the top of a hill for those with ambulatory problems. Otherwise excellent and staff very helpful. Had someone come to the train to pick me up and someone else brought me back to the train
