Učka Nature Park Mountain Hideaway Robinson House Matić with Pool is a pet-friendly Robinson house that can accommodate up to 8 people, located in the Učka Nature Park in Istria. Surrounded by kilometers of unspoiled nature, this mountain getaway provides easy access to a plethora of attractions within the Učka Nature Park, as well as quality dining options and outdoor activities such as hiking, mountaineering, cycling, and various sports activities like paragliding. The host is available upon request and for a fee to provide guided tours to attractive spots within the mountain and the nature park, as well as arrange other exciting activities amidst the fantastic natural surroundings.
While the nearest beaches and tourist attractions can be found in Opatija and Rabac, which are among Croatia's most famous tourist centers, the house itself boasts a phenomenal view of the Učka Peaks and Istria. It's an ideal destination for a tranquil nature retreat, where guests can interact with the domestic animals on the property, feed them, take pictures, and enjoy various adventures and experiences facilitated by the host, such as ranger tours of the mountain, guided quad rentals, visits to tourist trails, and tours of the Suza distillery. Additionally, guests are offered excellent culinary and wine options upon request.
The house operates independently, generating its own electricity through solar panels and a generator, and collecting rainwater in underground cisterns, which is then pumped to the house as needed using a hydrofor. Guests have the option of parking in Brest and enjoying a complimentary transfer to the Robinson house organized by the host. Furthermore, a store for provisioning groceries, pharmacy, post office, hair salon, cafe bar, medical clinic, and a train station can be found in Lupoglav, approximately 10 kilometers away. For an additional fee, guests can arrange transfers to two fine restaurants, Ema and Dopolavoro, which offer authentic local cuisine and wine at reasonable prices. The house is spread over two floors (ground floor and first floor), with the kitchen, living room, terraces, and other amenities located on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the first floor.
The ground floor comprises a 52.25 m2 kitchen and living room area, as well as a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove with an oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, and dishwasher. The living room features a sofa bed for two people, a dining table for six, a TV, and a fireplace. Additionally, there is an outdoor covered terrace with a dining table for 8, and an indoor closed terrace with a dining table for 8. The property also offers Wi-Fi access.
Adjacent to the main building, there is another kitchen with a living room area and a sofa bed for two people, as well as a dining table and a TV. The closed terrace measures approximately 20 m2, while the covered terrace spans 80 m2, providing an ideal setting for summer gatherings by the pool. The pool, filled with fresh water and measuring 4 x 2 meters, is equipped with a platform and sun loungers for sunbathing.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, each with a double bed and two bunk beds, totaling eight beds. The rooms measure 14.5 m2 and 11.5 m2, respectively, and share a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and toilet located in the hallway.
The entire house is heated as needed using a fireplace and gas heating appliances. The spacious fenced yard includes a portable outdoor grill and several auxiliary rooms such as storage and a boiler room.
One of the distinctive features of Robinson House is its integration with an animal farm located nearby, owned by the same proprietor. The farm is home to several horses that roam freely on the expansive property, as well as donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, pigeons, guard dogs, and sheepdogs. Occasionally, guests may encounter wild animals and experience the sounds of nature. The farm is managed by a caretaker who resides in a separate small wooden house above the property.
