"The hotel is somewhat deep in the park itself. This is slightly annoying for those with luggage, as you might need to find and wait for the shuttle bus, but it means that it's actually very close to chaoping station, which is where most people begin their hike, and you can always take the train to chaoping station. The property itself is well maintained and clean, and the room are spacious and well equipped. There is a very nice observation deck on the 8th floor with one of the best views of the Alishan sunset (many of the other observation points can be blocked by trees during spring/summer). And as a bonus, you don't have to trek back to your hotel in the dark."

The kids enjoyed the arcade room and their tatami room bed. Staff was very helpful and arrived right away to help us with the bed when we requested it. We especially enjoyed the free bikes with children’s seats - it was so easy to bike along the boardwalk right outside, and our sons are already asking to go back. "
