Rarely does a listing exceed expectations, but this home was absolutely stunning. The booking process was easy and all communications with the home owner were friendly and informative.
In the main living area, the large windows framing the view of the mountains in the distance are stunning. In our short time at the home, we watched sunsets and evening storms through the windows. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics and the large kitchen table was perfect for enjoying meals, or in our case, a jigsaw puzzle on a rainy afternoon. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean, spacious, attractively appointed, and comfortable. The basement lounge area was a huge plus for our teen son who was able to have his own space to hang out. All house policies were made clear and we experienced no issues during our stay. This home is truly top notch!
The town of Ludlow is charming. We enjoyed tacos from Tacos Tacos (a favorite of my son) and pizza from Goodmans American Pie.
If you are looking for some adventure, head over to Okemo. We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain, then hiked up to the old fire tower for incredible views. You can grab a snack at the lodge on top of the mountain before hiking back down one of the trails. They also have a mountain coaster which was fantastic.
Our last day, we took a ride over to Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, NY. It is only 90 minutes away and was a full day of fun for us.
