Relax at our peaceful wooded retreat in Silver Lake/Mears, just minutes from the dunes, Lake Michigan, and Cedar Point Park. This cozy getaway sleeps 9 and offers private beach access, fast WiFi, and the perfect mix of comfort, privacy, and location for family vacations, dune trips, and quiet escapes.

Our 1,200+ sq ft home in Mears, better known as Silver Lake, is the perfect base for adventure and relaxation. Just minutes from Cedar Point Park, Pentwater River State Game Area, Lake Michigan, and Silver Lake Sand Dunes, you’ll be close to hiking, wildlife, fishing, canoeing, biking, snowmobile trails, wineries, lighthouse views, and unforgettable Lake Michigan sunsets. Charming downtown Pentwater is less than 15 minutes away, and Ludington State Park Beach is an easy drive for a day trip.

Whether you’re here for dune rides, beach days, trail adventures, or quiet evenings in nature, this is a great spot to enjoy the best of West Michigan.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved the proximity to the beach and enjoyed riding our bikes down each day. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was great with communication as well. Definitely recommend!

We had a great time staying in “Our Neck of the Woods!” The house was perfect for our family! The beds were really comfortable, the shower is amazing. The layout of the house made it feel much bigger than it was! We enjoyed the out door seating and picnic tables in the evenings. The whole family loved the fire ring! 3rd time staying here. Love the location for half the family to go to dunes, the other half across the road to lake mi beach. Love the big back deck for morning coffee or afternoon cocktail and reading. Love the firepit and walking around neighborhood.

Just what the Dr. ordered!

This gem of a property was even bigger than it looked online. Extremely clean and well appointed home with everything you need and then some. It was also nice to be so close to the dunes area and the sunset at the county park is something you don't want to miss. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.

The house was perfect. We had everything we needed save a small baking pan. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and easy to find. Waking up each morning with a view of the trees was wonderful. The washer and dryer were great after a day at the beach and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. The grill on the patio was a great bonus as was the patio itself.

First time in Michigan

We came to Michigan for a family vacation. We played disc golf, putt putt, and went to the amusement park. Getting to walk in the sand right along Lake Michigan was a plus! Our place was perfect! We were so close to everything we wanted to see. We all slept great and loved that we felt secluded. I would definitely come back to Mears and would stay at this beautiful home again. Peace and quiet

Our family of 4 enjoyed a few nights away and thoroughly enjoyed the house! It's very modern with lots of natural lighting. The beds are comfortable and the shower is amazing! We enjoyed Silver Lake (10mins away) and Pentwater (10mins). The beach that is close by was covered in algae so we didnt swim. There are steep steps to get down to it, FYI. We enjoyed meals at Big Hart Brewing and Big Antler Bar. Owner communicated quickly for a couple issues.

Our Neck of the Woods

We had a wonderful vacation at Our Neck of the Woods located in Mears, MI. This is the third time my family has stayed at this property and I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back! The property is clean and the pictures are an accurate description. All the cooking necessities are included in the kitchen to cook full meals. The shower is stocked with body wash, shampoo, & conditioner. We had a relaxing vacation spending time at the beautiful beach in Pentwater, rode the dune buggies at Mac Woods, fed the animals at UP North, and enjoyed relaxing on the deck at the cabin. We had an amazing vacation!
