"Almost in the Center" is an apartment, on the 2nd floor of a characteristic and historic building in the Borgo Giannotti district, a 5-minute walk from the Walls of Lucca, precisely near the Majestic Porta S. Maria.
Excellent for a couple or a family of 3, maximum 4 people.
Ideal as a base for visiting the city of Lucca but also other Tuscan beauties nearby.

The apartment is very bright and airy, recently renovated and furnished in a simple but modern way, designed for the convenience of its guests, consisting of: entrance, kitchen with the possibility of eating at home with a set prepared for 4 people and a small terrace, living room with sofa bed, TV and large Bluetooth box, double bedroom with large wardrobe and column fan with remote control; bathroom with shower.

Borgo Giannotti is one of the best neighborhoods in Lucca, located just outside the walls, in front of Porta Santa Maria, full of shops that offer services for every need without the excessive costs of the center. Precisely 5 minutes walk from the apartment there is also a FREE PARKING almost always available.

lucca apt

sparse, noisy but has all the elements for a stay in Lucca. Owner nice and accommodating. Apt needs a bit of decorating. towels need to be newer and more fans in the summer.

Lovely Lucca

This is a great apartment for one or two people. It is equipped with everything one needs (Linens, towels, dishes, cookware, etc). It is located on a quaint street with places for food, gelato and coffee. There are several produce markets, places for meats, cheeses and breads. It is an easy walked to the walls of Lucca. Lucrezia is wonderful and easy to communicate with..

Alloggio perfetto per visitare Lucca

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, l’host Lucrezia, è disponibilissima e vi darà tutte le informazione del caso sia per quanto riguarda la casa e come arrivarci e i punti d’interesse. La casa è fedelissima a ciò che viene proposto nel sito, tutto molto pulito e ben organizzato. Sicuramente torneremo!

Logement très bien placé

Logement proche des remparts de Lucca, accessibles en 5 mn à pied ce qui est un très gros avantage. Parking gratuits à proximité mais pas devant l’appartement comme dit dans l’annonce. L’appartement , situé au 2 eme étage sans ascenseur, est basique, propre et le voisinage est agréable avec des commerces de première nécessité. La gare est accessible à pied en un peu plus d’une demi heure et sinon la proche Toscane est facile à rejoindre en voiture. Bonne communication avec Lucrezia. Merci pour le séjour dans cette belle ville de Lucca.

Nice place to stay in Lucca / Tuscany

The owner is very pleasant and helpful. The apartment is as advertised - airy and well-located. The apartment is equipped with nearly all the appliances you need for your stay. I was there for two weeks. There is a self-service laundry just a couple of minutes walk north. Around the apartment are several salumeria and fruits/vegetable stores as well as restaurants etc. This is a good location. If you need a supermarket, there is an Esselunga that is less than 1 km away. You are just a few minutes walk from Porta Santa Maria. I used the train a lot to travel around Tuscany and walked through the old city of Lucca daily. It is a pleasant walk once you learn to walk in the shade! The apartment is on a busy, cobbled street with the bedroom facing east. The kitchen faces west. There is usually a nice breeze blowing through. WiFi works throughout the apartment and is fast. I did not use the TV so can’t tell you more about what is available! The owner was very helpful in guiding me around town. Lucca is a lovely town especially inside the Mura (wall). The wall is a delightful promenade to walk on whether for a stroll or to make your way around the city. Lucca has much to explore - take your time. You don’t need a guide if you’re willing to wander about on your own and research the sights to see. If you’re prepared to walk about town, it really is easy. If you want to rent a cycle, there are places just inside the Santa Maria gate. Plenty of restaurants in that area too. This gate is the northern end of Lucca and less ‘touristy’ than the popular spots in Lucca. Overall I’d recommend this apartment as a good way to see not just Lucca, but as a base to explore Tuscany. I took the train to La Spezia (for the Cinque Terre boat tour), Pisa (the San Rossore Station puts you very close to the Leaning Tower), Firenze, Pistoia, Montecatini - all Tuscan places worth visiting. The trains are quite convenient to get around (I made my life easier by using the Loco2 app). I also went to Torre Del Lago Puccini using trains! If you do stay in this apartment, tell the owner that the Canadian who spent two weeks in June 2019, sends his regards!
