This was my first time visiting Luang Prabang, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful trip. One of the main reasons was the warm hospitality of the hotel staff. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles, and thanks to the flexible and attentive service provided especially by the male and female reception staff, I was able to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay with complete peace of mind. During my stay, there was a small issue, but it was resolved very quickly and professionally. I had to ask the reception staff for assistance several times, and each time they responded promptly and kindly with a smile, for which I am truly grateful. While the town center can often be crowded with tour groups and quite busy, this hotel was quiet, free from group tourists, and located in a peaceful area. It allowed me to fully appreciate the true charm and tranquility of Luang Prabang. I would definitely love to stay here again.

I stayed at Victoria Xiengthong Palace for 3 nights and had a truly memorable experience. The pre-arrival communication was smooth, and the complimentary airport transfer made the arrival stress-free. My room was very clean with beautiful Lao-style interior design, which gave me a real sense of the local culture. The staff were attentive and always thoughtful, which made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was à la carte with several options to choose from, so I never got bored even after 3 mornings. The hotel is located right next to the UNESCO World Heritage temple, which makes the atmosphere especially calm and quiet both day and night. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Luang Prabang, I highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Victoria Xiengthong Palace in Luang Prabang was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome — a refreshing drink and a damp towel — set the tone for a truly relaxing and gracious stay. The hotel itself effortlessly combines royal-palace charm and modern comfort. Our room was beautifully furnished in rich teak wood and traditional Lao-style textiles, giving a sense of heritage and elegance. The bathroom — complete with tub and separate shower — and the comfortable bed made our stay very luxurious. We especially enjoyed the cooking class and the sunset cruise organised by the hotel — both were well-organized, delightful and gave us a wonderful taste of authentic Lao culture. The cooking class was a great way to learn how to prepare traditional dishes, and the setting for the sunset cruise was magical. The staff deserves special mention: kind, genuinely welcoming and attentive to every wish. We felt taken care of from arrival to departure, which made the stay even more special. Location is perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short stroll from the old town, near the river and close to the bustling night market and charming cafés. All in all, Victoria Xiengthong Palace offers a flawless blend of heritage, comfort, and warm Lao hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here — it is a true gem in Luang Prabang, and I would stay here any time again.

This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. Extremely accommodating, beautiful property, and fantastic food. Just far enough outside of the main part of town to enjoy the quiet and peaceful nature of the Mekong, but easily walkable to all of the tourist areas. They provided help with all of the tours for very reasonable prices and I even took a cooking class on site that was an amazing experience that included shopping at the morning market. If you can spring for the executive suite and enjoy your private jacuzzi room, well worth it!

Wonderful, just needs reliable wifi

Excellent, friendly staff. Great location. (Note that the River View rooms are not actually on the river, but they do have glimpses of the river) Wonderful breakfast in a lovely restaurant setting by the street. Rooms are very nice, good-sized. Our only complaint is there was no wifi in our rooms for our entire 5-day stay. We asked for that to be fixed several times, but it never was. We had to sit in the reception office to do a video call and to do our internet tasks. But if that is fixed, or if you don’t need wifi, this is a great place to stay.
