Find Hotels with an Indoor Pool in Lower Carniola

The Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta opened in 1873 and still has the look of an older era-- but with all necessary updates for comfort. The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was delightful (would have liked to have it outside, but some noisy construction was currently going on), and the hotel feels like it's at the center of things with its location on Piazza Unita' d'Italia. Alas, we only had a day, but I would happily return.

Grat hotel, amazing breakfast, outstanding staff

Great experience overall. Nice staff, charming city and beautiful beach / ocean.

Loved it

Easy checkin at desk. Staff was very welcoming, efficient. Easy to park garage. Very nice indoor pool in basement with hot tubs . We enjoyed swimming. Also had good breakfast buffet.

I liked the buffet for breakfast but didn't like it at all for dinner. I thought we were going to have 3 beds, but we had 2 beds, one of which was for two people. We didn't really get to spend much time here. It looks like a real nice place and it was clean and it did have parking.

Actually my room was changed to Grand Hotel Portoroz, and this review is about it, but all lately including Neptun are same owner

There was a lot of mixed reviews for this hotel, but it does appear to have been renovated and it was a really nice room and bathroom. We had a view to the sea from the balcony which was a nice bonus. Check in was easy.

we could not use the spa, but the room, the service and the restaurant were excellent. Very nice staff, comfortable room and a delicious buffet for dinner and breakfast made our stay a well-being.

I liked the amenities and location of the hotel, and easy access to restaurants, shops and bus transportation to Piran and other neighboring towns.

The apartments that were beachfront had an awesome location. They were comfortable but lacking full cleanliness -- dusting especially. With children, it was especially helpful having the kitchen in the room. This place is super family friendly and we totally enjoyed being lazy all day and enjoying the beach. I want to go back with family friends and create a mini vacation weekend.

The staff was superb! They helped me out even with matters not concerning the hotel.

The location is very nice, close to the shore, where you can find more "built up coastline", or more natural, rocky beaches to, according to your own preference. The underwater world is nice for some snorkeling, if the water is not too wavy. The apartment is good, and most importantly air-conditioned; however, not everything operates properly, there are some things that should be fixed. The kitchen is not equipped at all - there are two hot plates, and that's it; no oven, no microwave(!), no...
