Room spacious, clean and comfortable.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very tasty.
Breakfast was a little disappointing, only things on offer were cooked breakfasts, no offer of any cereal, pastries, yoghurts or fruit.
Toilets in the main part of the hotel/restaurant area weren’t the cleanest and in a little bit of disrepair.
Overall a lovely stay though, nice hotel in a great location.

Location, location, location! This hotel’s location seriously can’t be beat. On the corner of the colorful Victoria Street and walking distance to the castle. The grassmarket is a lively area to visit with its pubs and shops.The view of the castle at night is remarkable. If you’re looking for quiet, peaceful nights, though, this might not be the location for you.
