This was in a great location, a rooftop space, and it had it's own parking garage under the building (with chargers for electric cars). This we really appreciated. The apartment was clean and had ample space. But all the windows had terrible shades. There was a large bright digital billboard outside the building that seemed to be on all night. This place needed "blackout" curtains or shades. It was so bright inside that we had difficulty sleeping. After the first night we had to buy sleeping eye masks, which were not easy to find.

The property is exactly as described in the listing. It is easy to get and and get out. Check in process was easy to follow. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We had a comfortable stay. There is no concierge or person available to help. Everything is self-help. If you’re ok with the things that are available, it is the perfect place for you! On cleanliness, the apartment itself was clean and tidy, though rooftop chairs and table could’ve been cleaner. We had small service issues during the stay and unfortunately, there’s no way to get any service, for example 1. We found the mattress on the side bed a little uncomfortable. But when we asked for extra mattress, we couldn’t get it. 2. We’re had to leave early morning for a meeting on our check out day. We asked for late checkout. Was denied 3. We asked to leave luggage in the flat on checkout day, and offered to collect it later before next check in. The property was unable to accommodate. 4. We asked for luggage storage somewhere on the property. We were asked to go to the office in downtown LA to drop the bags, which we finally did as we had no other choice, but we got terribly late. 5. Communication with the property is slow as it is only through Expedia app or call center. I would recommend the property if you do not require additional service.

Do no stay here! They are subletting 1 room in the building and the person next door blasts music all night long! The noise from the street during the day is unbearable and obnoxious. Only the light next to the shower works in the bathroom. The screens in the windows aren't secured and just leaning up against the window. The blind in the living room area outlooking the street doesn't fully close to give privacy. The pillows are huge and uncomfortable! Any issues that arouse the contact have no control over, and just say we'll contact the building manager. They are often unresponsive. I did not feel safe being in the area at night and would tell families with kids to stay away!

We contacted Hollywood Homes Studio Apartments before booking to confirm whether the place was suitable for infants and families. We specifically asked about proper blinds and a dark room for nighttime sleep, and were assured everything was “good.” The reality could not have been more different. From the moment we arrived, communication was awful. Even getting a parking spot was a struggle. Once we got into the unit, we realized just how misleading their description was: the blinds were extremely cheap and completely useless, letting in bright light all night long. On top of that, a commercial sign outside was shining directly into the room, making it almost impossible for anyone—let alone an infant—to sleep. To make matters worse, the noise at night was excessive and constant. We reached out to the property for help, and after one promise to move us to another room, they completely ignored every email afterward—no follow-up, no apology, nothing. Their customer service is non-existent. I absolutely do not recommend this property to anyone, especially families with children. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.
