Things I love: This place has gorgeous views and a fun, upscale, funky neighborhood. Isabelle let me check in a few hours early, and I loved listening to the fountain and crickets. I was greeted with grapes, bagels, jam, nectarines, a pineapple, hummous and apples. The inside is cleaned scrupulously with no obnoxious chemicals! Isabelle responded to my texts immediately.
Things I didn’t love: There is living space under the bedrooms, and though the noises are super quiet, I am a light sleeper, and the listing said host lived on a separate lot. I didn’t have control over the central heat; Isabelle was super fast to respond but I got cold one night as the heat didn’t turn on after a power outage (I didn’t want to wake her up so I waited till dawn to text). Moldy sink drain (quickly resolved with baking soda and vinegar care of host.)
Overall it’s a gorgeous place and most appropriate for hearty, ecologically responsible travelers with a taste for beauty.
